Chief Financial Officer/Director - Finance - FMCG/FMCD/Retail

JOB PURPOSE :

The Director Finance shall have primary responsibility of supervising the financial, accounting, legal, taxation and fiscal aspects of the operations of the company. This role is accountable to ensure accurate accounting and financial statement and records. To help board of directors and top management identify financial risk and opportunities to maximize profit. 

Assist in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the organization's mission and growth plans. Advise the line functions on financial strategy and its impact on company objectives and sourcing prospects for future income by analyzing financial trends and any gaps in the market or potential opportunities

Responsibilities :

- Ensure maintenance of books of accounts in accordance with Finance Management Policies and Procedures accurately and on a timely basis as per local regulations and global standards.

- Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning.

- Ensure sufficient liquidity is available for operations through monitoring projected liquidity requirements and to maximize return on excessive cash holdings through several methods such as short term investment.

- Analyze new projects and make recommendations to proceed or not based on projects rate of investment (ROI) and internal rate of return (RR).

- Prepare the country monthly financial report to the global office in line with required standards.

- Determine the company's financial policy in the top management committee in order to achieve annual objectives and actively participate and provide financial, legal and regulatory advices/ideas as one of the top management committee members.

- Ensure adequate procedure controls and procedures are in place and maintain the integrity of financial statements in order for the company to be financially sound by assuring that assets and liabilities are properly valued through accurate and timely accounting systems and internal audit system.

- Lead organization wide budgeting and forecasting processes with direction from Managing Director and Global CFO.

- Establish guidelines for budget and forecast preparation, and prepare the annual budget in consultation with the Executive Board of Directors

- Oversee legal and tax functions, coordinate activities with external audit firms and review firms performance.

- Lead, motivate, coach and develop team. Collaborate with all respective functions on financial matters.

- Responsible for sub-functions such as Commercial Finance, Controlling, Taxation etc.
