CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO) :

- The CFO, or Chief Financial Officer, is ultimately responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the organization's financial reporting. The CFO helps establish and direct the organization's financial goals and objectives, its budget, and the Financial Plan. The CFO has primary responsibility for ensuring that internal controls are in place, enforced, and reviewed periodically for conformance to accounting and financial standards and applicable regulations.

Experience: 20 to 28 Years

Industry Preference: Chemical, pharma, paint, or any manufacturing.


Turnover / Business Size: Minimum 2000 Cr.

Location: Navi Mumbai

Education: CA Mandatory

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Analyses financial statements and prepares reports and recommendations to Top Management and the Board of Directors concerning financial performance.

- Annually creates a capital plan that aligns with overall business plans and strategies and reviews the capital plan with Top Management and the Board of Directors.

- Arranges and chairs financial management meetings and prepares financial reports and presentations for scheduled financial management meetings.

- Assesses risks and exposure due to business conducted in foreign currency, prepares a report and recommendations for dealing with foreign currencies, and follows and executes the established foreign exchange management policy.

- Oversees the financial health and financial performance of the Company, as well as a fiduciary responsibility to shareholders.

- Creates and reviews all period-end activities to ensure the period-end financial statements accurately reflect the results of the Company's activities and is familiar with the specific software procedures for keeping the prior year open until all final closing adjustments have been made and approved.

- Directs the Finance Department in developing borrowing and financial plans to meet the needs of the Company's operations.

- Ensures that processes needed for the financial management system are established, implemented, and maintained, and reports to the CEO and Board of Directors (or Advisory Board) on the performance of the financial management system and reports any need for its improvement.

- Executes the valuation process, recording valuation plans, results, improvement plans, and provides all needed information for the valuation process.

- Manages banking relationships, the cheque signing authority process, and alerts all individuals and banks of any changes to authority.

- Oversees cash management processes to ensure proper cash availability and best practices in cash management.

- Oversees that regular shareholder/board meetings are conducted according to the articles of incorporation or otherwise, surplus funds investment and debt paydown.

- Reviewing all investment proposals and evaluating them from financial viability perspective. Tracking profit and loss account for each business and at the organizational level.

- Oversees the asset acquisition process and reviews the ROI Worksheet. Oversees the Company's financial investment in inventories.

- Oversees the selection of merchant accounts and conducts periodic reviews of merchant accounts. Reviews Account Payable and approve the same. Writes off any accounts Receivable Account deemed not collectible.

- Oversees investigations into reporting errors. Prepares and submits all financial statements as required by law and by company policy.

- Prepares forecasted financial statements and prepares reports and recommendations to Top Management and the Board of Directors concerning forecasted financial statements.

- Reviews and approves requests for financial statements and any other proprietary, confidential, and/or sensitive financial information, the Risk Management Plan, and all reconciliations.

- Reviews lease/buy considerations for capital equipment.

- Safeguards all company information and determines the appropriate level of detail for release.

- Sets and oversees the process of providing and/or receiving a Letter of Credit and is responsible for all related bank communication and transactions.

- Interaction with lenders/bankers/NBFCs for term loan and working capital management and oversees working capital.

- Ensuring financial and operating performance reporting to supervising Board comprising of review of SBU's financial and operating performance, challenges being faced, new business opportunities, directions needed, reporting on statutory compliance etc.

- Interaction with Statutory, external and Internal auditor, resolving issues raised by them and ensuring audit completion and preparation of responses.

- Financial reporting as per Companies Act on quarterly basis and monthly MIS preparation and presentation.

- Doing tax planning, budget preparation, financial controlling, maintaining accounts and following all accounting standards.

- Day to day cash flow and treasury management comprising of reviewing receivables and payables position, term loan repayment obligation, maturing LCs/Bills and various operating expenses.

- Export and Import of Equipment to various global project sites, working out cost effective method for transfer/acquisition of these equipment in a time bound manner ensuring that it meets all regulatory norms of importing/exporting country. Ensuring compliance with RBI regulations etc.

- Procurement of new equipment, arranging financing for new capex, ensuring smooth logistics for movement of equipment through various state borders etc.

- Preparation of annual business plan, discussing plan with various stakeholders, plan approvals and keeping a track of plan vs actual performance and suggesting improvements if any.

- Interactions with legal team and solicitors on matters under litigation.

- Review of Project Valuation Report of various projects under execution, suggesting/taking corrective actions etc.

- Supervising mergers, acquisitions and all due diligence processes to capture all sorts assets and liabilities to evaluate overall viability before any decision to be taken by the management.

- Periodic review of accounting policies, internal controls, annual insurance renewal, pursuing claims.

- Overseeing monthly performance analysis reports & dashboards to be prepared.

- Actively participating in all fund-raising initiatives.

- Assisting the Strategy team/CXOs in terms of evaluating different business models and providing market intelligence about the same

- Providing necessary support to the top management in situations of potential acquisitions, and collaborations/partnerships with external organizations.

- Signs all reported financial statements.
