CFO - Urban Infrastructure/SEZ/Highway

Must have exposure working in Urban Infrastructure, SEZ or Highway Business.

Qualified CA only.

- Provide strategic and operational direction to the Urban Infra & Highways finance function thus enabling the achievement of the organizational strategy.

- Drive accurate preparation of the books of accounts and its timely reporting. Develop robust financial / accounting systems and processes across the organization, implement good corporate governance policies and risk mitigation practices.

- Develop strong relationships within the financial community and ensure that the working capital and funding requirements are met in a timely manner and strict adherence to all statutory compliances.

Accountabilities :

Finance strategy :

- Develop and align EPC's finance strategy with the group finance strategy.

- Ensure timely preparation of AOP and budgets for UI & Highways

- Liaise with the GHB and other key stakeholders to ensure that the financial plans, requirements for the UI & Highways business are appropriately estimated and funds made available.

Financial reporting :

- Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in adherence to accounting standards and organization's standards of corporate governance.

- Oversee monthly MIS reporting, receivables follow-ups, payment of taxes etc

- Develop and maintain finance & accounting policies in alignment with statutory requirements

- Budgeting and Working capital

- Drive the timely completion of the budgeting process and make arrangement for the working capital requirement -for UI & Highways

- Facilitate the process of budgeting and monitor the performance of departments and projects against the defined budget performance parameters; identify areas of major deviations and recommend course corrective measures

- Forecast working capital requirements of the organization and manage funding through appropriate channels

- Liaise with banks and financial institutions for raising fund and non fund based finance to meet working capital and Capex requirements, at best possible costs

- Provide inputs on profit and loss statement for UI & Highways to the Group CFO

- Finance Systems, Processes and Policies

- Adapt Organization's systems and processes across finance, other related functions and projectsto suit the UI & Highwaysbusiness value chain and business demands

- Drive integration of finance within business processes thus ensuring that the quality of data is accurate

- Ensure a greater degree of compliance to the SAP system (e.g. inventory management, manufacturing, logistics etc)

- Review operational and capital expenditure and ensure efficient use of financial resources

- Facilitate internal and statutory audits and action on audit recommendations approved by the CEO and as per group guidelines

Team Development and Management :

- Engage with the team to motivate and foster teamwork, understand and address their concerns and provide a collaborative environment for them to develop.

- Corporate Governance and risk management

- Drive good corporate governance practices across the organization, anticipate areas of business riskand identify and take appropriate risk mitigation initiatives

- Ensure compliance with the various indirect tax laws and local rules.

- Oversee processes to ensure that the vendors and contractors are also following the rules on taxation etc

- Ensure that the processes followed at site locations are standardised and aligned with the defined processes

- Ensure that appropriate checks & balances are inculcated in the organization structure and processes

- Securing long term funds as part of the SEZ Project Financing and short term loans and working capital financing for SEZ projects and identify opportunities to reduce interest burden, in guidance from corporate finance team

- Build and maintain strong relationships with lenders including banks and financial institutions for obtaining optimal costs for the businesses short term and long term and financial requirements

- Assess the liquidity requirements and funds required for working capital and make the same available in a timely manner.

- Ensure Regulatory and Statutory Compliances and Internal Systems alignment

- Monitor and ensure statutory compliance with Companies Act, RBI guidelines, SEBI regulations, Accounting standards, Excise, Sales tax and other indirect taxes, and related legislation

- Ensure adoption of best corporate governance practices in the line with governance architecture of Organisation

- Oversee annual Internal Audit plan for the year in association with Internal Auditors and ensure closure/compliance of Audit observations

- Ensure that appropriate internal control systems are in place at various touch points to prevent loss of financial resource. Identify and close gaps, if any, in the SOPs
