Job Description:
Finance strategy :
- Develop and align EPC's finance strategy with the group finance strategy.
- Ensure timely preparation of AOP and budgets for Transportation.
- Liaise with the GHB and other key stakeholders to ensure that the financial plans, requirements for the Transportation business are appropriately estimated and funds made available.
Financial reporting:
- Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in adherence to accounting standards and company standards of corporate governance.
- Oversee monthly MIS reporting, receivables follow-ups, payment of taxes etc
- Develop and maintain finance & accounting policies in alignment with statutory requirements
Budgeting and Working capital:
- Drive the timely completion of the budgeting process and make arrangement for the working capital requirement for Transportation
- Facilitate the process of budgeting and monitor the performance of departments and projects against the defined budget performance parameters; identify areas of major deviations and recommend course corrective measures
- Forecast working capital requirements of the organization and manage funding through appropriate channels
- Liaise with banks and financial institutions for raising fund and non fund based finance to meet working capital and Capex requirements, at best possible costs
- Provide inputs on profit and loss statement for Transportation to the Group CFO
Finance Systems, Processes and Policies:
- Adapt Company systems and processes across finance, other related functions and projects to suit the Transportation business value chain and business demands
- Drive integration of finance within business processes thus ensuring that the quality of data is accurate
- Ensure a greater degree of compliance to the SAP system (e.g. inventory management, manufacturing, logistics etc)
- Review operational and capital expenditure and ensure efficient use of financial resources
- Facilitate internal and statutory audits and action on audit recommendations approved by the CEO and as per group guidelines
Team Development and Management:
- Engage with the team to motivate and foster teamwork, understand and address their concerns and provide a collaborative environment for them to develop.
Corporate Governance and risk management:
- Drive good corporate governance practices across the organization, anticipate areas of business risk and identify and take appropriate risk mitigation initiatives
- Ensure compliance with the various indirect tax laws and local rules.
- Oversee processes to ensure that the vendors and contractors are also following the rules on taxation etc
- Ensure that the processes followed at site locations are standardised and aligned with the defined processes
- Ensure that appropriate checks & balances are inculcated in the organization structure and processes
Desired Candidate:
- ERP system knowledge mandatory, SAP knowledge is must.
- Indirect taxation knowledge is also required
- Project Finance experience is also required.
