Chief Financial Officer - CA - BFSI

Role: As a key member of the Executive Management team, the Chief Financial Officer will report to the CEO and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company.

Basic Function: The chief financial officer (CFO) is accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.

Principal accountabilities are:

Planning:

- Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives

- Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans

- Develop financial and tax strategies

- Manage the capital request and budgeting processes

- Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction

Operations:

- Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team

- Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team

- Manage the accounting, investor relations, tax, and treasury functions

- Manage any third parties to which functions have been outsourced

- Oversee the company's transaction processing systems

- Implement operational best practices

Other Responsibilities:

- Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.

- Ensure credibility of Finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.

- Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.

- Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions

- Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities

- Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to the Company

- Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.

- Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with national, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting

Qualifications and Requirements:

- The candidate CFO should have a CA degree or master's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience and 15+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation.

- Should have experience in partnering with an executive team, and have a high level of written and oral communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with a CA &/or MBA in Finance
