Job description : The chief financial officer position is accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results . Responsibilities : Planning &amp; Operations : - Manage the capital request and budgeting processes - Drive the finance team towards business goals - Liaise with the Treasurer, Finance Committee and/or Audit Committee as appropriate - Handle external stakeholders for financial dealings - Supervise acquisition due diligence and negotiate acquisitions - Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts - Arrange for debt and equity financing - Monitor investor relations, legal, tax, and treasury departments - Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations Financial Information : - Review accounting compliances, adherence of policies, procedures and systems - Develop financial and tax strategies in sync with Annual Business Plan - Ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures - Review Budgeting, Budgetary control, Costing and MIS - Lead financial reporting at Board meeting and the Annual General Meetings Risk Management &amp; Funding : - Experience of being part of team which has raised fund through IPO (PREFERRED) - Invest funds and manage fund raising through IPO - Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile - Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry Strategic Orientation : - Development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy - Advise management on financial liabilities and strategies to yield better business performance Desired Qualifications &amp; Experience : - Chartered Accountant, with 18+ years of experience, minimum 2 years of experience in similar role in any industry except service industry - Candidates with IPO experience will be given preference
