Chief Financial Controller - CA

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting and Compliance: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), international financial reporting standards (IFRS), and other regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

2. Internal Controls and Risk Management: Develop and maintain an effective internal control framework to manage risks related to financial reporting and safeguard company assets. Evaluate and improve internal control systems and policies.

3. Accounting and Financial Policies: Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles. Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and legislation.

4. Audit and Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors during annual audits and reviews. Coordinate with auditors to ensure the audit process is efficient and compliant. Liaise with external stakeholders, including investors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies, as needed.

5. Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the team.

6. Strategic Planning and Advisory: Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization. Advise on the financial implications of business activities and strategies.

7. Operational Efficiency: Identify opportunities for operational and financial process improvements. Implement systems and processes that enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.

Qualifications:

- Professional certification (such as CA, CPA or ACCA) is a must.

- A minimum of 15 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.

- Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and other applicable financial reporting standards.

- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

- Advanced proficiency in financial software and accounting systems.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
