The ideal candidate need to a qualified Chartered Accountant 17 - 25 years of industry experience in Finance with exposure to Accounts, Finance, Banking, Treasury, Audit, Taxation & Cost Control affairs and minimum 5-7 years in senior leadership positions in a reputed public limited company willing to relocate to Kolkata

Job Responsibilities are as follows :

Strategic :

- Contribute towards the development of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programmes and systems as part of the senior management team for maximizing profitability and revenue generation and realizing corporate goals

- Spearheading business process re-engineering initiatives. Developing best cross functional team with other departments to achieve complex common goals

- Formulating policies and planning recommendations to the management, guiding courses of action in operations by employees

- Participate in senior management decision making related to business plans, market entry, organic - inorganic growth initiatives etc. providing commercial point of view

- Finalize strategies for obtaining short-term long term funds through target instruments in a cost efficient manner

- Advise the Executive Director Finance on areas of capital structure, financing mix, product pricing, internal audit policies, taxation and cost control measures in order to maximize overall value and liquidity of the organizations

- Review corporate governance and regulatory compliance for Accounts & Finance, Banking & Treasury, Budgeting & Control processes & systems

Process & Financial :

- Direct the development and implementation of all accounting policies and procedures in compliance with applicable accounting standards for the company

- Presenting a true and fair view of the financial position of the company by ensuring timely preparation of financial statements and consolidated annual reports

- Oversee the banking, treasury, costing and budgeting discipline of the company & its associated companies and guide in financial, commercial, auditing, cost control and taxation aspects. Facilitate and review statutory and internal Audit findings and ensure related closures / escalations

Key Interfaces Internal Interfaces External Interfaces :

- ED Finance - Managing Director - Board of Directors - Statutory Authorities - Auditors (Statutory, Internal) - Lenders - Banks, Financial Institutions

- Guide and monitor tax planning initiatives of direct and indirect taxation in commercial decisions of the company

- Lead corporate financial planning exercise; Develop and manage annual budgets for organization and perform periodic cost and productivity analysis for timely action taking

- Ensure establishment and implementation of robust risk assessment and mitigation mechanism including due diligence for both strategic and operational activities; Lead mitigation of financial & legal risks to minimize any contingent liabilities to the organization

- Ensure efficient capital funds flow and working capital management.

- Guide and review effectiveness of credit policies to balance cash flow interest of the company and considerations of stakeholders

- Recommend competitive pricing policies and assist sales, EPC verticals in pricing decisions that balance immediate and long term advantages market share, revenues and profitability

- Scan the environment including RBI, ICAI, govt. guidelines, Judicial developments (national and international), applicable statutes to adopt changes in area of financial, accounting, taxation, legal, compliances for protecting stake- holder's interest

- Approve investment decisions for special projects and infrastructure based on policy framework & senior management decisions; Oversee optimum management of corporate funds through effective treasury management and achieve maximum returns within the policy framework

- Recommend improvements in Management Information Systems, BI tools across key functions enabling effective decision making and robust controls mechanism

- Ensure various financial processes are properly linked to ERP for effective controls and efficient management of resources and information

- Guide management of Forex exposure, like imports, contracts to mitigate currency risk to the minimum

- Develop financial dashboards and cascade key performance metrics across functions to build ownership on function level ROIs
