Introduction:
Established in 2010, Ahvaan has been working with State Governments in the areas of curriculum development, professional development of Educators, Master Trainers, Heads of School, as well as Parent Engagement within the government school ecosystem. At the heart of all the work that Ahvaan will do is to build the agency of the Teacher for the Parent and Child. This binding thread is in carrying forward the vision of its Founding Trustees - to lay emphasis on the inculcation of constitutional values further strengthened by choosing to work for schools which are placed in the public school or marginalized settings. The work will continue to deepen along these lines. Ahvaan has initiated this through integrating gender awareness and the concerns for Children with Special Needs (CWSN) to ensure that every child experience joyful learning and develops into a lifelong and self-directed learner.
Today, Ahvaan is a young and dynamic team of 25 educators supporting pre-primary and FLN teachers of approximately 5000 schools while also working deeply to help teachers develop values in children. The organization's cultural ethos respects diversity, innovation and initiative. Being a small team, the Founders' vision of an equitable society is steeped in every individual working as part of Ahvaan.

Reason for the hire:
The Ahvaan Group, representing Ahvaan Trust (AT) and Ahvaan Education Foundation (AEF) are seeking an innovative and entrepreneurial leader to drive both the organization forward. The incumbent will create the vision jointly with the team and lead the team through this transition of both leadership and re-visioning. The CEO will be responsible for establishing and growing the Ahvaan and its programmes. S/he is also expected to lead, advice, guide, support and advance the work of the organization towards institution building.

- Fundraising and Thought Leadership
- Internal Leadership and Management
- Finances and Reporting

The need for flexibility is required and the job holder is expected to carry out any other related duties that are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
Must Haves:
- Master's Degree or its equivalent in relevant fields like education, management, public policy.
- Minimum 15 years of experience including 5 to 7 years in a leadership and management role.
- Experience in scaling up operations in social sector settings preferably in education.
- Experience of working with State and Central Governments.
- Proficient written and oral fluency in English. Proficiency or fluency in Hindi and any other Regional Indian language is desirable.
- Credible track record of fundraising and an enthusiastic, pro-active and entrepreneurial approach to revenue generation. Experience in managing an overall budget of INR 5 crores to INR 10 crores.
Preferable:
- Experience of working with tech enabled education products/organization
- Remote leadership experience.
- Nonprofit governance experience.
