Looking for a CEO - Internet Based Startup

The following opportunity for the position of CEO, is available with one of our clients, which is a internet based startup involved & Specialized in Geographical Information System (GIS) and Geospatial Engineering domain

In a GIST:

We are looking at a Leader Professional with around 10-15 years of experience, possibly from A-Lister Education, who is full of passion, entrepreneurial ability, & integrity and who is responsible to build a strong team under him and support the business to move from the successful start-up zone to the next level.

Prior experience in same/ecommerce/internet industry and handling of B2B, B2G sales model is a huge plus.

CEO Description :

Setting strategy and direction :

Platform strategy :

- The Company has just pivoted from a B2C model to a B2B and B2G model. Currently, Indian markets are the focus with real estate, navigation and interior mapping being priorities.

Offering differentiation :

- Going with partnerships rather than a commoditized platform offering has gained us early success. Can this be sustained or should there be a two tier offering for partners and customers respectively-

New initiatives :

- The strength of a mapping platform is in the richness of the data it creates through partnerships and user generated content. What tie-ups, offerings and outreach will help us create this on a daily, continuous basis-

Modelling and setting culture :

- The startup is still a series A company with a startup culture and a small team that's growing rapidly. As part of building a great place to work, we need the CEO to preach and practice a culture of performance, accountability & innovation. The easiest pointer to this is past record and references.

Building and leading the senior executive team :

- Since the CEO is going to be the first hire, would prefer that they play an active role in recruiting the CSO and the CFO so that we avoid potential conflict in the top management team by design.

Capital allocation :

- Participate in further fund raising rounds with Institutional investors. Budgeting in line with strategy and vision. Funding projects which support the strategy, and ramping down projects which lose money or don- t support the strategy. Managing the firm's raised capital to ensure a return to shareholders.

The Soft stuff :

- Around 40 years, demonstrated P&L and team building capability with a number based track record. Good pedigree with Series B, C funded and fast growth internet companies. 100% verifiable antecedents and references. More we and less me in conversations.
