Candidates Requirements :

- Post Graduate Diploma / MBA or equivalent in Sales & Marketing / Finance With at least 15-20 years of working experience in FMCG business.

- 14 - 18 years of related experience inclusive of international business experience

- Demonstrated skills in developing a business, both locally and internationally

- Strong management and project management skills

- Strong leadership skills with ability to lead and drive change across multiple organizations

- Proven track record of influencing to a desired outcome

- Requires approximately 25% travel

Main Responsibilities are :

- Ensure all international business is in compliance with local policies, regulations, accounting rules and controls of International Business.

- Interface with internal sales/manufacturing personnel and customers, vendors, sub-contractors, etc. regarding the terms and conditions of customer orders, sales agreements and contracts

- Establish local relationships required to conduct business as needed, i.e. banking, legal accounting, import/export, etc.

- Key interface between international sales and manufacturing operations

- Close interaction with Emami''s Manufacturing, Finance & Costing and Marketing Teams to ensure smooth business transactions and good customer relationships

Primary responsibilities :

Strategic & Planning Responsibilities :

- Understand Emami's International Marketing Division's Business Vision and develops the Strategy for International Sales & Distribution function in alignment with the Business Vision.

- Ensure that the organization's activities are accordingly planned and directed to achieve affirmed targets and standards for financial performance, quality, culture and legislative adherence;

- Develops new strategies to scan the market for potential new avenues & generate revenue from untapped markets; launch new products for generating new business;

- Ensure local and international legislation requirements are fulfilled at all times;

- Closely monitors the functioning of Sales & Marketing / Operations/ Supply Chain / Human Resources / Finance team etc. and ensure the working is in strong alignment with the Business Strategy of the Organization.

- Conceptualizes and designs initiatives for enhancing the overall efficiency & effectiveness of People.

- Ensures research and reporting on future changes in the FMCG business and takes into account these factors while planning of the business's strategy, resources and procedures and improvise the sales strategy

Functional Responsibilities :

- The sound operations of the business will depend critically on the guidance given to the Management by the Chief Executive Officer. He/she shall be fully responsible to the Board of Director for the day to day running of the company.

- Takes overall responsibility for implementation of the business strategy through the establishment of mid to long term performance goals for IMD ( International marketing Div) business and ensures their constant review.

- Establishes measures, timelines and mechanisms to regularly review the performance against the set targets and provide guidance and support to all the functional teams for identified issues

- Establish and maintain efficient and adequate internal control systems;

- Ensure that the Board of Director is frequently and adequately appraised about the operations of the company through presentation of relevant reports focusing on variations of current and past performances.

- Builds networks and strategic alliances to drive business development and revenues

- Build and Review all MIS Reports and takes corrective actions in case of variations

Financial & Control Responsibilities :

- Strategizing on cost optimization & derive pricing strategy with an alignment of supply chain and pricing of competitors.

- Formulates the credit policy and develop a framework that would be applied across countries to ensure patterned credit limits

- Design and Drive Debtor Management by monitoring cash flows at various levels and setting mechanisms to ensure that there is no blockage

- Responsible for the efficient functioning of function; while ensuring adherence to sound financial management and accounting policies

- Review periodically on status of Budget variations and ensure budgetary control by designing control mechanism.

People Responsibilities :

- Drives a culture of performance across functions - Set goals, review and manage performance, guide and counsel and provide feedback on performance so as to ensure a motivated and committed team

- Develops the capabilities to take on higher responsibilities while performing the given / in-charge responsibilities at various levels.

- Ensures adequate training to team to be able to handle different country's market dynamics.

- Ensures effective career and succession planning for different positions across functions.

- Takes overall responsibility for increasing ownership & empowerment of people.

Oversee any other assignment or special assignment based on business need as communicated from time to time by the Board of Director.
