The organization is a leading listed Indian company in the Building Materials industry. The requirement is to onboard a CEO who can drive its existing business as well as expand the operations further by building a pan-India retail network. Primary accountabilities are listed as follows: Strategic Leadership &amp; Vision - Developing a long-term strategy and vision for the Company that leads to the creation of shareholder value. - Assess the current situation in terms of the products, customers and the brand and lead the development and execution of the 5-year, 3-year and the Annual Sales Plans. - Create and implement a strategic plan to ensure that the Company regains its leadership position and is constantly evolving to the changing consumer preference, technological and product landscape. - Board Responsibilities - Establish a strong working relationship with the Board of Directors. - Keep the Board of Directors aware of the company's performance and events affecting its business, including opportunities in the marketplace and adverse or positive developments - Ensure, in cooperation with the Board, that there is an effective succession plan. - Be a part of the Governance and Audit committee and play an active role in the re-appointment of auditors Business Management &amp; Growth - Ensuring that the day-to-day business affairs of the Company are appropriately managed by developing and implementing processes that will ensure the achievement of the Company's financial and operating goals and objectives - Accountable for company revenue and expenses, and assists direct reports in determining resource levels for their functions - Develop and maintain high-level customer &amp; partner relationships, ensuring coordinated action and facilitating customer issue resolution - Actively monitor external/internal markets and look for opportunities to introduce new products in the most efficient way - Ensure smooth management of existing vendor relationships Building the Franchise business portfolio - Devise a Strategy for Rolling out the Franchisee Network (500 - 1000 stores in 3 years) - Identify and define cities where the franchise network will be situated - Define criteria for evaluation and selection of sites - Create and define the store design and structure - Create the franchise structure economics - Facilitate sharing of best practices through formal training sessions to enable a consistent approach across all projects - Enhance communication through social media groups Execution of Rollout plan - Create and develop SOP for Franchisee/Master Franchisee network - Create and manage the Franchisee network roll-out, project documentation (licenses, Municipal Corporation documentation/ approvals, training for franchisees, etc.) ensuring compliance with required procedures and processes - Ensure SAP implementation at the point of sale - Ensure completeness of store by having the experiential pods, Visual Merchandise &amp; Tile samples
