JOB DESCRIPTION AND REMUNERATION PACKAGE
- Setting up, managing and driving a greenfield reinsurance broking company in Zambia.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- GeneralManagement
- Participating in the development and implementation of the company's vision and mission statement
- Overall responsibility for revenue growth and profitability of the reinsurance broking business
- Ensuring long term sustainability and consistent growth of the business by developing and implementing corporate strategy
- Building the business through leveraging current and emerging opportunities
- Recruiting, training, mentoring and developing human resources
- Identifying current and future challenges to the business and developing mitigation plans
- Technical
- Develop a best-in-class offering of treaty and facultative broking products and services
- Compiling and overseeing the implementation of a Reinsurance Broking Manual [Underwriting & Claims]
- Implementing a documented carrier security review process
- Marketing
- Designing and implementing the company's marketing strategy
- Compiling and maintaining a company profile
- Ensuring that the company develops and maintains sound relationships with key stakeholders including, but not limited to, cedants and reinsurers
- Human Resources Management
- Ensuring that the business is adequately staffed and resourced
- Developing and implementing an annual staff training program
- Training, supervision and development if staff
- Ensuring that appropriate employment policies, procedures and manuals are in place and compliant with local statutes
- Managing staff disciplinary matters and attending to conflict resolution where appropriate
- FinancialManagement
- Responsible for compiling and managing company budgets and financial forecasts
- Responsible for authorising expenditure up to pre-agreed limits set by the shareholders
- Oversee the remittance of reinsurance premiums and reinsurance claims recoveries
- Establishing and maintaining appropriate systems for measuring the key aspects of operational management
- ICT
- Identify and assist with the implementation of an appropriate cost-effective IT solution to manage the company's reinsurance broking transactions

Experience :
- 10 years' experience working for a multinational / global reinsurance broking company with at least 5 year's management experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/PG Degree
- A.C.I.I.
REMUNERATION PACKAGE:
- Two Year Fixed-Term Employment Contract [initial]
- Salary: US$7,500 gross per month
- 25% gratuity [currently tax free] at end of contract
- Personal-to-Holder Company Vehicle
- Accommodation Allowance: US$1,500 per month
- One Return Airfare [economy class] per annum
