Our client is recruiting for the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
- The CEO will be a key member of the organization's leadership team and will be accountable to the board of directors and chairman. The individual should have strong leadership skills with an exceptional commercial acumen and who will inspire and motivate a management and operations team. The ideal candidate will define policy, strategy and programmes to obtain maximum revenue and to promote at all levels.
- The successful candidate will be required to develop detailed business and operation plans following on from the Board's strategic plan and internal governance structure and will report on operational and financial performance. S/he will be required to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, identify opportunities to grow the business by expanding the network of partners, and build relationships with the team based on trust and transparency.
- The CEO will also develop and maintain lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with present and prospective sponsors and funding partners as well as maximising opportunities for new revenue generation or cost mitigation through appropriate sponsorships, partnerships, and management practices.
Profile:
- A high-potential business leader will be strategic thinker who has strong leadership and team building skills.
- The ideal candidate would have a proven track record of building and nurturing strong consumer focused brands, extending across multiple categories and consumer segments.
- S/he is expected to have strong strategic orientation, entrepreneurial traits along with the ability to roll up the sleeves, when needed. S/he must bring a proven capacity to inspire, lead and challenge people constructively, and be someone who readily assumes responsibility for driving marketing and revenue building performance and value-creation initiatives.
- S/He should have a tendency for innovation and a proactive approach in the development of an organisation and have intellectual breadth to manage both the financial and non-financial goals and aspirations
Skills set :
- Proven experience of running a multifunctional organisation
- Previous financial and commercial experience.
- Experience developing funding opportunities and generating additional income.
- Forward planning and budgetary control capabilities
- Relevant experience in building consumer-focussed brands using both online and offline channels
- Strategic planning support would involve formulation of geography business strategy; building plans to align our business strategies, definition of metrics and tools for measuring strategy execution and governance of strategic initiatives
- Established experience in building consumer-focussed brands using both online and offline channels
- Responsible for supporting definition, maintenance, and execution of the company's strategic planning process as well as new business development efforts. New business development support would involve identifying, exploring and fleshing-out select partners and networks to grow the business
- Evidence of creativity, ideas and solutions in prior roles - an individual who wants to move their career and profile forward and show that they can create meaningful value, enterprise or otherwise.
- The individual should enjoy the relationship management features and be able to demonstrate what they have achieved in that respect - an engaging character and the gravitas that means counter-parts enjoy being around them.
- The ability to work effectively in matrix and multiple stakeholder environments (UK and overseas) and both internally and externally, and where daily, quick turnaround interaction with technical and commercial decision makers will be the norm.
- Used to working with high intellect leadership groups and, at the same time, delicately balance this with working with a broader range of contacts on the client side whose talents may be different and diverse but who nonetheless play a key contributor role to the Company's commercial goals. The individual needs to know-their-audience and calibrate their approach appropriately (strong emotional intelligence).
- Excellent communication skills in a range of forums including public speaking, and a willingness to communicate widely in a publicly visible role
