Chief Design Officer

An $100M+ funded cricket-based NFT start-up is looking Chief Designer Officer. The founding team comprises entrepreneurs with experiences across McKinsey, Hindustan Times, Rocket Internet, Google, Helion Advisors Venture Capital, Siemens, PwC Strategy, Strategic Decisions Group, SHELL, and educational backgrounds including IIT, IIM, and Wharton.

Job Role :

The role is titled to drive technical product design development from a user experience, user interface, and usability standpoint. The person will work side-by-side with the other team in Product and Engineering to provide direction and recommendations on design and development execution of product/service. They will create designs, draw wireframes and fabricate prototypes to check customer's feedback for later improvement.

Job Responsibilities :

- Own projects throughout the entire design cycle, from the UX/UI design to the actual development

- Gather user needs/feedback through research methods such as observations, interviews, and usability testing, and translate these findings into design solutions and refinements

- Set design processes

- Initiates and create designs to increase user engagement and conversion rate

- Create process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups for our clients

- Supervise, mentor and motivate the UX/UI team to refine and build design system, share user research, and identify design solutions

- Partner with engineers and product owners to provide value through designing the interactions, interface, and functionality of our products

- Educate the team and stakeholders about the importance of design thinking and the importance of user research

- Keep up to date on design trends and look to make process and UX improvements

- Collect all business requirements from the client during kick off, collaborating to define an MVP

- Work with Business Development and Product Managers to define the design scope of a project

- Be the main design liaison between the client and the design team

Job Requirements :

- Bachelors or Masters' degree from TIER I design college

- 10-20+ years of working experience on UX/UI or product design and developing flows and wireframes,

- 5+ years of senior management in design-oriented startups

- Working experience with NFT designing, gaming, 3D Animation, high-end designing's will be plus.

- Solving complex experiences and making them intuitive to the user

- Solid knowledge of best practices in design and architecture

- Strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques

- Strong understanding of iOS and Android design principles

- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Invision or Photoshop, and Illustrator.

- Ability to lead a team and gain stakeholder confidence

- Experience mentoring designers and leading the design on projects

- Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus

- Rapid Prototyping experience

- Capability to work on tight deadlines and under pressure

- Analytical skills

- Being creative, communicator and a self-starter, willingness to learn and have an over-delivery attitude
