Chief Data Scientist (CDS) Job Description:

Reporting to the founder/CEO of the company, the CDS is a core member of the leadership team. This position will be Bangalore based.

Responsibilities:

- Recruit, manage, and motivate a talented team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and business analysts to enable the company to leverage its massive amounts of data to create competitive advantage

- Immediate challenges include using ML to increase the conversion rate from prospects to customers, improve engagement with better content recommendation and timely notifications, improve sales people's productivity, gain insights to identify content roadmap and product roadmap, optimize pricing of our offerings, identify user champions to incentivize referral growth, and other ways to use our data to build a fast growing and highly profitable company.

- Collaborate meaningfully with other leaders in the company and contribute to an intellectually stimulating and open environment.

Qualifications:

- The ideal candidate would have an advanced degree (MTech/MS/PhD) in data science and/or computer science from a renowned institution.

- Overall 15+ years in tech/data science with at least 10+ years of experience in ML/AI/DS with at least 3+ years in a leadership role in a credible organization, at a C level or reporting to a C level.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.

- Proven leader having managed a team of highly talented individuals in a world class organization.
