Position Name : Chief - Corporate Sustainability

Education : MSW, M.Tech./M.E., MBA, MSc

Key Objective Overall Job Responsibility

1.Track sustainability trends and practices that could impact the company's business in various markets and advise senior management on what needs to be done maximize the opportunities and minimize the risks on account of this.

2. Identify and periodically review material sustainability issues based on expectations of external and internal stakeholders and the impact on business performance.

3.Work with all internal departments to develop and annually review KPIs for each material issues, based on internal and global good practices and ensure that these material issues, KPIs and targets are widely agreed internally and can be shared externally by presenting it to appropriate internal senior management forums on at least an annual basis

4.Produce regular (at least annually) all voluntary and mandatory sustainability reports meant for external stakeholders. This would include, but not limited to, reports of GRI, SEBI BRR, Integrated Reporting, UNGC, CDP etc

5.Create and convene forums of internal and external stakeholders to regularly receive inputs on sustainability issues, concerns and the quality and extent of sustainability reporting

6.Represent the company on all local and global forums on sustainability, including with media and respond to all queries and work closely with brand and corporate communications to ensure that sustainability is a key component of the way that the company is presented to the outside world

7.Build and coordinate internal and group events (such as the Sustainability Month) to ensure that all employees embrace sustainability as core to the business and in their personal lives

Requirements :

Technical Competencies

The ideal person would be someone familiar with environmental and social issues that impact business but who also has a strong understanding of business strategy to be able to relate these issues to business success. Ability to work in coordination with a widely diverse range of stakeholders is very important. As the principle spokesperson of the company externally on sustainability matters and the sustainability champion internally, she/he should have strong written and spoken communication skills. The position requires a mature individual who can be a trusted advisor to the company on all sustainability matters. A passion for sustainability and the belief that it is critical for business success is critical
