Chief Compliance Officer
Responsibilities:
- Design and monitor Comprehensive Compliance Policy in line with various legal & regulatory compliance requirements and Compliance Risk Assessment .
- Provide guidance and recommendation for corrective actions as appropriate
- To conduct inquiries / investigations in response to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and the Code of Conduct
To be a Nodal point for all regulators and carry out the following activities:
- Liaising with regulators
- Ensure compliance of regulatory/ supervisory directions given by RBI
- Vetting of correspondences / compliances before submitting with regulators
- Coordination with Departments and Regulators during regulatory inspections
- Timely submission of data as sought by regulators
- RBI will continue to expect an effective Compliance Program where all Risk Mitigation Plan (RMP) / Monitorable Action Plan (MAP) points are compiled with
- Facing RBI queries and handling RBI escalations and observations.
- Handling statutory audits by RBI independently and internal audits as well.
- To periodically report to the Management, Committees of the Board and the Board on the compliance matters and update periodically with the changes in the regulatory landscape and their impacts to the company
- Ensuring up-to-date knowledge of employees on the regulatory requirements
Key Competencies :
- CA/CS with 16+ years' work experience
- NBFC Lending experience a must
- Must have dealt directly with RBI as a regulator.
- Good Liaison with RBI
- Must have managed RBI inspection for minimum of 10 years
- Must have dealt with Senior Board Members & Independent Directors in the past assignment.
- Take ownership of and strengthen the Compliance culture at the organisation.
