Job Description:

Ensure 100% compliance with all applicable rules, laws and regulations under NBFC regulators

1. Conceptualize, design and monitor comprehensive Compliance Policy

2. To ensure that the organisation is in compliance with various legal & regulatory compliance requirements.

3. Review and disseminate all applicable regulatory guidelines, with clear analyses of impacts, actions to be taken and timelines to the relevant units.

4. Ensure the policies of the organisation are in line with regulatory requirements

5. Provide guidance and recommendation for corrective actions as appropriate

6. Design Compliance Monitoring Program basis the Compliance Risk Assessment to enable ongoing monitoring and enable the functions to be at satisfactory level

7. To conduct inquiries / investigations in response to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and the Code of Conduct

8. To be a Nodal point for all regulators and carry out the following activities:

i. On going liaising with regulators

ii. Ensure compliance of regulatory/supervisory directions given by RBI in both letter and spirit in a time-bound and sustainable manner.

iii. Vetting of correspondences / compliances before submitting to regulators

iv. Coordination with Departments and Regulators during regulatory inspections

v. Timely submission of data as sought by regulators

vi. RBI will continue to expect an effective Compliance Program where all Risk Mitigation Plan (RMP) / Monitorable Action Plan (MAP) points are compiled within the timelines prescribed. Unsatisfactory compliance with RMP/MAP may invite penal action from RBI.

vii. Facing RBI queries and handling RBI escalations and observations.

9. Handling statutory audits by RBI independently and internal audits as well.

10. To periodically report to the Management, Committees of the Board and the Board on the compliance matters and update periodically with the changes in the regulatory landscape and their impacts to the company

11. Ensuring up-to-date knowledge of employees on the regulatory requirements

Key Competencies :

1. CA/CS with 16+ years' work experience

2. NBFC Lending experience a must

3. Must have dealt directly with RBI as a regulator.

4. Good Liaison with RBI

5. Must have managed RBI inspection for minimum of 10 years

6. Must have dealt with Senior Board Members & Independent Directors in the past assignment.

7. Take ownership of and strengthen the Compliance culture at the organisation.
