Location: Gurgaon

Education: CS + LLB

Requirements

- Currently heading Compliance & Risk for listed company

- Expert at SEBI, FEMA, MCA / ROC, IT Laws

- Expert at Corporate Laws, Contracts, Governance Risk & Compliance

- Exposed to Legal/Secretarial/Risk

- Proactive management to ensure top management remains insulated from any compliance / risk issue

- Assertive, go getter Strong people skills / HI EQ (besides IQ)

- Professional certification (e.g. Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP)) is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement an effective legal compliance program, focusing both on compliance with anti-bribery statutes and rules worldwide, as well as other legal & ethical issues.

- Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them

- Draft/ revise company policies, as appropriate

- Working closely with our audit function, proactively audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses

- Evaluate business activities (e.g. M&A) to assess compliance risk

- Collaborate with external auditors and HR when needed

- Set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation

- Educate and train employees on regulations and industry practices

- Address employee concerns or questions on legal compliance

- Keep abreast of internal standards and business goals.
