Our client are one of the leaders in physical commodities trading business with a global turnover of USD 50+ Billion. With a presence in 25+ countries and an employee base of 3500+ they have witnessed a phenomenal growth in the last decade. They are now looking to hire senior accountants for a recently acquired business

Description

Reporting directly to the Chief Accountant you will be responisble for :

- Daily accounting matters including posting journals, posting accruals, reviewing depreciation, ensuring clearing of account is done

- Ensuring bank account reconciliation and allocation are done

- Preparing financial reports such as Balance Sheet, Account Consolidation, T tables, Consolidation of Tangible and Intangible, Review and maintain Assets Debtor and Creditor lists.

- Keeping control of such legal books and records of accounts as: General Ledger, Sales Records, Purchases Records, Inventory, Annual affixing of the required tax stamps to books

- Schedule monthly tax payments, VAT (with the monthly sales and purchases records), Income Tax withholdings, payments on account, and payment of the annual determination of the amount to be paid. Weekly tax distribution.

- Accurately review the monthly tax computations & ensure HFM validation as per agreed deadline in respect of monthly tax reporting of all the operating entities.

- Support independent audits; provide all necessary information for compliance on deadlines. Work closely with independent auditors during and preparing schedules for the annual audit. Revise the computation of employment termination payments

- Preparation of the Annual Financial Report including financial statements, notes, supporting schedules, transmittal letter and statistical information

Profile

- Qualified accountant with strong accounting and balance sheet management experience

- Prior experience in corporation tax practices and accounting

- Understanding of IFRS standards

- Business minded orientated is a plus

- Demonstrable numeracy Skills

- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information

- Microsoft Office proficient

- Income tax knowledge
