Chief Accountant - Cement Industry

Responsibilities of Factory Chief Accountant

- Prepare and examine accounting records and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standard

- Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, and other tax requirements

- Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice

- Establish tables of accounts, and assign entries to proper accounts

- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs

- Ensuring strict confidentiality of all financial matters of the factory except in matters where necessary

- Review bank statements and preparation of monthly reconciliation statement.

- Research and reconcile all discrepancies

- Ensure all expenses are timely and properly recorded.

- Properly and timely preparation of VAT and Excise report.

- Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirement :

- Master's Degree in Finance/ Accounts/Chartered Accountant with minimum three (3) years of experience in similar role in the manufacturing industry

- Knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles. Knowledge of accounting software Swastick will have high preference.
