Job Description:

As a Statutory Audit Associate at WaterBridge Ventures, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial statements for our portfolio companies. This position is ideal for a recent CA graduate or a candidate with up to 3 years of post-qualification experience. You will work closely with our finance team and external audit partners to conduct thorough audits and provide insights that contribute to the financial health of our investments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Audit Execution: Perform financial statement audits, ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

- Audit Planning: Assist in the planning and scoping of audit engagements, including risk assessment and materiality determination.

- Fieldwork: Conduct detailed testing of financial transactions, account balances, and internal controls.

- Documentation: Prepare working papers, audit reports, and other documentation in compliance with audit standards.

- Data Analysis: Analyze financial data and trends to identify areas for improvement and potential risks.

- Compliance: Ensure that the audit processes align with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

- Reporting: Prepare comprehensive audit reports with findings, recommendations, and compliance status.

- Communication: Collaborate with portfolio companies and external auditors to address audit-related queries and issues.

- Process Improvement: Suggest and implement process enhancements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the audit function.

- Professional Development: Stay updated on accounting standards, auditing regulations, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

- A Chartered Accountant (CA) with 0 to 3 years of post-qualification experience.

- Knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and financial analysis.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Contract Duration:
