Chartered Accountant - Manufacturing Firm

The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in accounting and finance roles, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, financial management, consolidation, and expertise in accounting standards such as INDAS, IFRS, and USGAAP. The candidate should also have exposure to banking operations, including availing long-term and short-term finance. A proactive problem solver, the candidate must be capable of managing complex financial tasks and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning and Analysis:

- Develop and implement financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making processes.

- Analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

2. Financial Reporting:

- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements following accounting standards (INDAS/IFRS/USGAAP) applicable.

- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.

3. Consolidation:

- Manage and oversee the consolidation process for financial statements.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements in consolidation activities.

4. Audit and Compliance:

- Coordinate and lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.

5. Taxation:

- Manage and optimize tax strategies, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.

- Work closely with external tax advisors to minimize tax liabilities and maximize incentives.

6. Cash Flow Management and Banking:

- Forecast and manage cash flows to support operational needs and strategic initiatives.

- Liaise with banking partners, managing long-term and short-term financing arrangements.

7. Financial Systems and Processes:

- Evaluate and enhance financial systems and processes for efficiency and effectiveness.

- Implement best practices in financial management and reporting.

Qualifications:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, consolidation, and taxation.

- Exposure to accounting standards such as INDAS, IFRS, and USGAAP.

- Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly preferred.

- Proficient in managing banking operations and financing arrangements.

- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

- Proficient in using SAP and MS Excel.
