Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chartered Accountant with a background in Audit and Accounts, ideally with previous or current experience in the retail industry and Big 4. The ideal candidate should have a strong track record in financial analysis, compliance, and internal controls, with prior experience working at a Big 4 accounting firm. This role will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:

- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

- Provide insights into financial performance, trends, and key metrics to support decision-making.

2. Audit and Compliance:

- Oversee internal and external audits, coordinating with auditors and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.

- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

3. Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.

- Monitor budget variances and provide recommendations for cost optimization.

4. Retail Expertise:

- Leverage previous retail industry experience to understand and address industry-specific challenges and opportunities.

- Analyze retail-specific KPIs and metrics to guide financial strategies.

5. Team Leadership:

- Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the finance team.

- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

6. Strategic Financial Planning:

- Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial strategies that support business growth and profitability.

7. Taxation and Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and optimize tax strategies to minimize liabilities.

8. Ad Hoc Analysis and Projects:

- Undertake special projects and financial analysis as required by senior management.

Qualifications:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is mandatory.

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Audit and Accounts, preferably in a Big 4 accounting firm.

- Previous experience in the retail industry is highly preferred.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.

- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
