Requirement : Product Manager

Reporting to : Business Head / CXO

Experience : 5-8 years post the highest qualification

Qualifications : MBA or equivalent

Location : Bangalore (travel 30% of time)

Role Objectives :

1. Lead the product design process for non-orthodox businesses of the company

2. Analyse consumer needs, current market trends, and demand-supply challenges

3. Assess current competitor offerings, seeking opportunities for differentiation

4. Analyse product requirements and develop appropriate plans for a successful launch

5. Drive the product and planning process across cross-functional teams of the company

6. Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple verticals

7. Appraise new product ideas and strategize appropriate go-to-market plans

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities :

1. Drive the execution of end-to-end product lifecycle processes, including product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and product launch

2. Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI/ROA

3. Analyse market data to develop sales strategies, and define product objectives for effective marketing communications plans

4. Contribute in delivery channel, underwriting, operations, and collections strategy frameworks

5. Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for process development, piloting, full-scale launch, SOP development, and finally lead to product policy

6. Collaborate closely with different verticals on the development, QA, and release of products

7. Plan resources required to ensure piloting and successful launch of the product, and implement product execution plan in tandem with other business & functional verticals

Skills and Qualifications :

Must have :

- MBA in marketing/finance from a decently known institute

- 5-8 years experience in any bank / NBFC / MFI; at least 2 years in a product management role

- Experience in unsecured credit products viz. micro-enterprise loans, personal loans, etc

- Good with number crunching and have analytical mind-set

- Good in MS Excel, PowerPoint

- Good with communication skills, team player, ambitious and can drive self

- Comfortable in a fast-changing environment, agile and adaptable

Good to have (not mandatory)

- Understanding of rural banking and low/low-medium income customer strata

- Experience of leading cross-functional teams (not direct reportees)
