CG Power & Industrial Solutions - Head - Corporate Industrial Relations

Job Purpose:

Lead the IR function through a partnership with geography and business HR to develop and execute a consistent IR strategy across CG, aiming at proactive Industrial Relations enabling a peaceful and productive workplace and an environmental and culture of mutual trust.

Key Accountabilities:

- Partner with Geography HR teams for introduction & familiarization of Proactive Industrial Relations strategy & framework to effectively deal with IR issues and challenges and provide the required support. Continue to expand IR know-how and expertise.

- Build IR knowledge and Talent in CG. Strengthen I.R. staffing and coaching to Plant HR/IR direct and indirect support team (incl. HR teams, line managers, and shop floor supervisors) to enhance their IR know-how and competency level. Provide effective IR training programs (FTF interactive training) for effective IR management.

- Deploy - IR assessment framework- at all Manufacturing sites to assess the IR health periodically and deploy appropriate actions to enhance site scores year on year.

- Expand union management & union avoidance measures through management training and enhance employee engagement to proactively eliminate industrial relations issues.

- Manage the labor contract negotiation with approved bargaining parameters and funded through productivity improvement and performance-based approach as & when apply.

- Work with Business HR Leaders to support developing & finalizing - Employee Engagement models- .

- Update HR, IR & Business Leaders on Labor law changes, industry information & country IR scenario. Actively participate in the operational transition plans like site closure, divestitures, workforce reductions and labor contract outsourcing as & when apply.

- Continue to work closely with legal attorneys and with local Labor Law outside counsels at different locations and extend all necessary support to them as well as partner with HR teams in on HR / Labor law related issues.
