POSITION: Director Finance/CFO

LOCATION: Bangalore

REPORTING: CEO

Job Description

The incumbent will be responsible for Company's financial and fiscal management aspects, providing leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting and Budgeting efforts. He/she will be a part of the senior management team working closely with the CEO and the board, charting the company's future.

Business Plan projections and budgeting

- Play a key role in the business decisions by understanding the business relevant metrics and carrying out Financial analysis

- Ability to take a contrarian view to the CEO and ensure the right fiscal decisions are taken

- Budgeting top down and bottom up and stretch wherever there is opportunity

- Communicate monthly sales targets along with operational metrics

- Publish monthly P&L statements

Cash flow management

- Support operations on cost optimization and buying team on vendor partnerships

- Ensure working capital management

- Exposure to fund raising

Capex and Financing

- Optimisation of capex cost through analysis and benchmarking

- Work with corporate treasury

- Monitor bidding process for assets and approval of capex as per budgets

Commercial deliverables and control

- Ensure adherence to commercial processes, taxation etc.

- Provide ERP and system related support, detect errors and excess order

- Overall cost control within budget / cost optimization / operations expenses control

- Align every expenditure till it gets accounted

- Manage the U.S. company finance / accounts functions.

Financial reporting

- Provide daily/weekly/monthly/fortnightly sales report and budget Vs actual

- Responsible for accounting and financial systems, 100% statutory compliance and timely, adequate controls and accurate book keeping

- Prepare structured reporting for the board

- Monitor the preparation and maintenance of ledgers

Statutory compliance

- Coordinate with internal & external departments, statutory bodies, government departments and ensure registrations and compliance are in place

- Ensure accurate statutory reporting to relevant authorities, as per GAAP and related regulatory guidelines

- Keep track of all types of filling including TDS, service tax, and VAT payments

- Analyse market potential and enable decision making from financial perspective

Taxation

- Develop appropriate processes to reduce tax burden

- Monitor compliance with statutory authorities for taxation

Desired Skills and Experience

- Education: C.A / ICWA / MBA Finance with demonstrated experience in heading the finance function in a corporate.

- Experience: Minimum 8~15 years in in accounts / controller / finance role in a corporate preferably from IT Product / Ecommerce / IT Services organizations

- Have or acquire a deep understanding of how SaaS businesses work and the unique nature of cash flow in the same so as to identify early the levers of growth / alarm signals.

- Experience of working in a startup will be an added advantage.

- Excellent knowledge of financial statements, operational metrics, accounting, direct & indirect taxation, corporate laws

- Ability to use Excel and computer applications
