The person must have passion for western music, to be naturally successful in the role.

The role has been conceived to market products through Western Music Concerts in high-end locations - like 5 star hotels / pubs etc.

Job Purpose Summary:

Functioning as a team leader, the position is primarily responsible for planning, leading and executing the sales strategies for raising sponsorships, in cash and kind, for all on-ground and on-line initiatives of The Company , including live concerts, webcasts, broadcasts etc. The position would also undertake business development initiatives for the other services of The Company – Brand Solutions and Third Party Sales.

The job requires the highest level of networking abilities, building relationships with leading brand marketers across all industries that use or have potential to use music as a key platform for marketing. The candidate should enjoy strong relationships with leading marketers, media and advertising head honchos, BFSI segment etc. and should be able to forge long-lasting relationships that help build the unique music properties that The Company aims to.

Scope of responsibilities:

1. Sponsorship sales

a. As team leader of the sales team and a core member of the The Company senior management, the position is responsible for overall strategic sales planning of various properties being built by the Company, as part of its calendar. The plan would cover sales strategy to achieve the annual sales target across all concerts; target product groups / brands; key long-term media or other alliances etc.

b. Will lead the sales team from the front to achieve and exceed the sponsorship sales targets per property, by devising our goto=;market plan for our properties, driving and coordinating the pace of the sales execution.

c. Will ideate and execute the development of new marketing propositions that meet the Company’s objectives of being “Innovative and Clutter-Breaking” and also of providing “100% ROI to sponsors”

d. Will play an integral role, along with the brand managers and the core team, in designing marketing plans for each of the properties, so as to ensure maximum ROI to sponsors and to The Company .

e. Will work closely with the brand team to ensure successful and smooth delivery of sponsor commitments.

f. Will manage the process of gathering market intelligence; and keeping self and the Company appraised on future trends, competitive analysis etc.

2. Business Development

a. Will efficiently use his / her existing and growing network of contacts in the industry in garnering new business for the Company’s ancillary divisions – Integrated Marketing Solutions and providing artists to third party clients.

b. Will work closely with the IMS team in devising newer ideas for development & execution of branded content / properties for various brands that may be willing to use music as a key platform for brand marketing.

c. Will enhance the depth of relationships that sponsors would have with The Company by ensuring all music based marketing requirements of the sponsors are serviced by The Company via the two ancillary divisions.

3. Trade Marketing

a. Will plan the annual trade marketing strategy, along with the core team, with the clear objective of positioning The Company as a leading creator of platforms for brand marketing through music.

b. Will ideate and plan for long term and sustainable platforms for The Company to be “top of mind” amongst the media and marketing fraternity.

c. Will drive strategic alliance / partnerships with leading media houses to support the above two objectives.

4. Strategy & Planning

a. As a core team member, will play an integral role in designing goal oriented business strategy

b. Will play an integral role in concept planning and development of branded properties so as to ensure competitive advantage over other players in the industry.

Work experience requirement:

1. The candidate should have at least 15 years of experience in sales and business development and the last 3 years should have been in a sales head / leadership position with a media / entertainment company.

2. Recent experience at a leadership position in a music company would be an added advantage.

3. Experience in sponsorship sales in a live entertainment company too would be an added advantage
