About the role:
Centum Foundation have been partnering with IT companies such as Capgemini, Cognizant, Accenture, Sonata etc. in designing and implementing upskilling projects for students undergoing STEM/Engineering/Tech courses from tier 3 & 4 level colleges. The beneficiaries (students from Economically Weaker Section) are provided with in-demand courses such as Full Stack Developer,
Advance Data Analytics, Cyber Security etc. and provided with placement assistance.
Sr. Lead Skills for Tech (IT/ITES) projects is an important role in the team helping foundation to raise funds/BD for its skills and education projects focusing on IT/ITES courses. The person will be leading the fund raising/business development activities end to end i.e. identifying potential CSR/international donors; introducing foundations work, understanding need/requirement for project/s, designing of the solution/project (if required); preparation of the proposal and the budget, closure of the contract/MoU. Conducting project kick-off meeting and launching of the project. The person would oversee project implementation, monitor and provide technical guidance.
Ideal Candidate Profile (Essential Attributes):
- Minimum 4-6 years of work experience in the field of Technical Training and Education/Corporate training. Candidate having experience working in social sector/CSR shall be preferred.
- Should have MCA/ Post Graduate degree/diploma in relevant field from reputed institute, professional certifications like PMP/Prince 2 will be added advantage
- Proven track record on conducting/managing/facilitating training on online/offline/blended mode for high end technical courses in IT/ITeS like Full stack JAVA, Big data, Cloud computing etc. is required
- Proven experience or ability towards Lead generation/business development and thereafter project delivery
- Experience of preparing/writing winning proposals for CSRs/government tenders/multilateral development agencies in the area of learning and development/corporate training etc.
- Networking, partnership and collaboration skills with proven ability of having strategic partnership/s in the past.
- Candidate must have Excellent communication (speaking and writing) skills in English. Skill set on report writing and making impactful PowerPoint presentation is essential.
- Proficiency in using MS office Suite, MS- project, LMS platforms is desired
- Good connects in the social sector esp. with the CSR, philanthropic organizations, institutional donors, NGOs, Government departments etc.
Other Attributes (Desirable):
- Preference would be given to candidates who have worked with Training/ L & D organizations
- Leadership skills with ability to establish short & long term goals for the business vertical
- Should have led a team of professional. Team building skills with proven ability of nurturing & mentoring teams in the past.
- Dealing with complexity and ability to lay down clear road maps on the current operation and growth of the vertical
- Ability to build in best practices and innovative approach in work stream
- Understanding of funding pattern and trend in the industry
Key Responsibility Areas:
Business Development/Fund raising (70% of the time) -
- Assist in developing growth strategies and plans for the vertical and work towards its growth
- Build and manage relationships with social sector clients CSR, philanthropic organization, international agencies, government. Ensure upselling and cross selling
- Write business proposals/presentation
- End to end BD & project execution cycle lead generation to closure
- Work on industry specific solution
- Search business opportunities & increase the client base.
- Networking, partnership and collaboration
- Work in coordination with other business verticals and key functions Finance, HR, Admin, IT etc.
Project Management (20% of the time):
- Oversee project delivery as per the work-plan
- Guide team members towards work execution and pitch-in wherever required
- Address operation/implementation related bottleneck/challenge
- Managing Internal Audits for Process, Product & System to ensure process compliance.
- Partnership with industry players for scaling the operations and quality execution
Knowledge Management (10% of the time):
- Preparation of thought notes and knowledge products
- Assist the leadership team towards participating in various discussion forums
- Any other work assigned by the reporting manager or Head of Centum Foundation.
Travel time : 20 to 30% of the time.
