CDP - Program Head

CDP is currently looking for the Program Head to join the India team, based in New Delhi. This is a unique opportunity to bring organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for the organization's financial and administrative functions. Reporting to the Director - CDP India, the successful candidate will be a highly motivated, strong self-starter with administration skills and the ability to communicate across a range of levels.

Responsibilities :

- Overall project management for science-based targets, carbon pricing and environmental disclosure programs.

- Developing and executing work plans with a high level of attention to detail.

- Policy monitoring & engagement.

- Managing multiple work streams, including research and knowledge creation; stakeholder engagement; strategic collaboration; events and communications.

- Delivering a stakeholder engagement program targeting private sector (business and investors), government and civil society audiences at the international level.

- Identifying synergies between cross-cutting issues and/or strategic priorities.

- Familiarity with Environmental disclosure, Science based targets, and Carbon Pricing scenarios processes.

- Accounting, reporting, record keeping on the project's progress to management/funders.

- Keep track of finances and review all budgetary requirements.

The successful candidate will have:

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills that promote cohesion and team work; creativity and entrepreneurship; timeliness and efficiency. In addition, the successful candidate will have -

- Ability to persuasively and simply communicate complex concepts to private sector (business and investors), government and civil society audiences in a variety of public and private settings

- Experience with senior-level corporate and/or government

- Experience with project proposal preparation and monitoring.

- Facilitation/consensus-building skills, and experience writing action-oriented briefings for senior decision makers.

- Excellent oral and written English skills. A second language would be highly regarded

- IT literate with excellent knowledge of Microsoft office tools;

- Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of how to manipulate data in common tools (e.g. Excel);

- Master degree in management/economics with specialization in Environment and Energy studies.

- Minimum 10 year of relevant work experience.

Competitive NGO salary. The position is based in CDP's New Delhi office, starting as soon as possible.
