Category Mgr - Retail - Consumer Electronics

We are having an opportunity with one of our leading client for the role of Category Manager -Retail.

Below are the details regarding the roles & Responsibilities:

Purpose:

To manage a Category of Retail Division by strategizing, implementing and monitoring robust strategies and practices and ensuring that the same are in sync with and support the business strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Category Management - Plan requirement of various products mix, place order on the principals, negotiate and approve purchase prices, work out pricing, allocate product mix to various dealers and regions.

2. Implement processes for continuous analysis of Product, Customer, Competitor data and trends and formulate corrective actions and growth plans on basis of these.

3. Promotions and Advertising - Budget promotion and advertising expenses, prepare schedule of advertisements and promotions (media mix and timings), ensure display at the dealers' site and the showrooms.

4. Manpower Development - Motivate and develop manpower under his control.

Experience required

- 6 - 10 years of experience.

- Experience should have been in marketing processes and systems, supply chain management, with a view to enhance brand value of the operations.

- Should have a background in Consumer Electronics. Experience in the Middle East desirable but not essential.
