JD for Category Manager - Prof Lighting

The category manager needs to manage the products for Prof lighting categories.

He/She will be the one responsible for the overall sales and promotion of Prof lighting (Indoor, Outdoor, Industry & Retail) BUs to maximize consumer appeal. Relationships with BU managers and Sales management will also be part of the duties.

The category manager must have experience in understanding customer needs and the project environment. They must have a commercial mindset and full comprehension of marketing and sales principles. Exceptional communication skills are also key for category managers.

The goal is to increase sales and profitability of business to drive sustainable growth.

Responsibilities:

- Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends

- Devise long-term development strategies for product categories

- Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products

- Foster trust relationships with Sales and BU to achieve better pricing and quality of services

- Coordinate with supply chain to ensure product availability that meets consumer demands

- Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility

- Liaise with BU teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category

- Collaborate with BU and Product management teams to expand product categories

- Make forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory

- Assume responsibility of budget development and revenue for category requirements and skills

- Responsible to drive on time NPI & market placement activities

- Responsible to develop Product brochure, Price list, & marketing collaterals etc

- Drive Promotional Events & activities to create customer preference, Brand awareness & approvals

- Responsible to develop Product brochure, Price list, & marketing collaterals etc

- Prepare Product training calendar & impart product knowledge to both sales & dealers
