Category Manager
Purpose of the role :
- Drive the Nutrition portfolio to unleash its full potential
- Manage & develop product offering to ensure optimal business performance & growth objectives in India
- Responsible & Accountable for all business & strategic aspects effectively leading & developing the brand managers to achieve brand goals
- Brand Champion & strategic liaison to Global & Regional Marketing Team in all areas of Brand Management
Primary Responsibilities :
- Responsible for growth and profitability
- Responsible for brand building and consistent brand messaging
- Monitoring and analysis of brand financials, using findings to actively steer brand business plans
- Develop and implement short-term and long-term marketing strategies including launch and discontinuance decisions as well as the development of compelling marketing campaigns for hero products and key launches
- Evaluate, define and drive new product ideas for the category
- Management of brand budgets
- Monitoring and analysis of market and industry trends
- Close cooperation with the communication department, including the development of briefings for creative agencies
- Initiate and use market research to understand consumer and distributor needs and to make winning marketing decisions
- Provide leadership, guidance, development and management to staff member(s) and provide constructive feedback and recognition to direct reports
- Preparation of information materials and decision papers for internal management meetings and for our business partners
