JOB TITLE: Category Manager - SKF Lubrication Business
Job Position:
We are looking for a Strategic Sourcing professional who can lead several categories under SKF's Lubrication Business (which includes individual responsibility of several proprietary components such as Pumps, PLC/Control Panel, Hydro - Pneumatic Components/Filters, Steel and Fabrication). He/ She should have high technical expertise and outstanding business acumen with 8+ years of relevant experience
Responsibilities :
Lead several commodities in the SKF Lubrication Business with end-to-end ownership of the commodities with primary responsibility to identify company needs, and suitably design and execute sourcing strategies, both short and long term
Develop supplier partnerships to align with the category strategy and drive supplier performance excellence. Own the relationship and work closely with the suppliers, right from development till industrialization of parts, which may include co-design and co-development of parts, as needed
Secure supplier selection which brings in process and execution technologies that align with the organization's product and technology roadmaps. Constantly engage with suppliers to identify and develop process methods and work with internal stakeholders/Product Line to incorporate them into our product plans
Establish Cost and Quality improvement glidepaths for category parts. With high impact opportunities, Drive cost reduction initiatives for the respective category parts on existing products.
Develop and deploy negotiation strategy, which are fact based. Facilitate innovation, continuous improvement and execute VA/VE projects to drive YOY cost savings and improved service levels from suppliers
Execute contracts with suppliers to secure commitment on cost, quality and delivery and mitigate potential risks associated with QCD parameters
Capture/Understand potential risks (quality, financial, geopolitical, etc.) along the whole sourcing cycle and prepare contingency plans.
Manage internal stakeholder relationships and facilitate collaboration among Internal customers.
Technical Competencies :
Technical knowledge especially of hydraulic / pneumatic systems.
Good negotiation and commodity management skills especially in proprietary components such as Pumps, PLC/Control Panel, Hydro-Pneumatic Components/Filters, Steel and Fabrication
Purchasing Tools SAP Ariba / ERP knowledge
