1. Position Title
Category Manager - Key Accounts Management
2. Division: Consumer Products
3. Department: Key Account Management (Modern Trade)
4. Reports to: Head - Key Accounts Management
5. Location: HO, Mumbai
6. Key relationships
Internal: Key Account Managers, Marketing Teams, Sales Planner, Sales Development
External: Key Accounts Chains, Creative/Design/manpower agencies
7. Key Responsibilities
Responsible for setting in place plans to jointly grow the Health & Beauty market and over-proportionally Client via:
A strategic alignment with retailers. A superior understanding of shopper needs and behaviors.
Extensive understanding and usage of Nielsen Answers, Space planner, Kantar Worldpanel, Euromonitor and other data sources.
Develop a triple win (Client, Retailer and shopper) strategy, adequate mix activation plan and P&L of the category.
Build a trusting relationship with counterparts at key retail chains, gain category captaincies, monitor category projects rollout.
Act as the referent and single point of contact for category questions.
Deliver vision of instore excellence for our categories and brands.
Support the commercial team in their business plan alignment with retailers, with the right shopper and category insights, market and category reviews, and during retailer presentation.
Help in internal arbitration between brands when required
Key Deliverables
Growth of Client's brands and where we have category captaincy, delivering target growth for retailer categories.
In control of building brand saliency, imagery and awareness of our categories and brands in key MT chains.
8. Team Size and Profile (years of exp of team members)
This is individual contributor role.
9. Education: Graduate with MBA
10. Professional Experience:
4-8 years in competitive Category Management role, Shopper Marketing, Key Accounts Management or retail (MT- Food). Special focus on Hair Color advantageous. (category, buying and merchandising experience)
11. Key Competencies
Develops Customer Centric Business Sensitivity to the Merchandising Codes of Client
12 Physical Demands (e.g. % travel)
Located in Mumbai, with outstation travel of 5-7- days
13 Industry Source
Preferably from FMCG industry or Retail background (MT-food).
In case of latter, the candidate should have experience of working in prominent retail chains like Future Group, Reliance Retail, Walmart etc.
