Key Responsibilities:- - Develop Buying and Merchandising strategy and ensure that this strategy is implemented. - To develop coherent vendor strategy, dovetailing it with the private label strategy to ensure maximum returns - To conceptualize and implement detailed promotional programs to gain penetration in the categories and increase the frequency - Drive category/department/family to deliver sales growth &amp; profitability across categories through shopper/Kirana store-focused solutions - Drive larger shares and increase in commercial incomes. - Managing Sourcing, Buying and Merchandising - Develop strategy for the business which is aligned to the company's financial and operational plans. - Drive sales and margin and ultimately the profitability of Department - Work out sales improvement plan for zones and implement the same to achieve the target. - Develop Marketing strategies for the business and implement the same to achieve the targets. - Assortment planning to meet customer/Kirana needs. - Maintain optimum inventory levels in the business and drive higher GMROI - Devise Joint Business Plans (JBP) with suppliers keeping in view the business goals of the department. - Sign TOT With all vendor. Skill Set:- - Expertise in category management - In-depth knowledge of marketing and sales operations and processes - Hands-on experience with analyzing data and making forecasts - Analytical and critical thinker - Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. - MBA in business administration, marketing or similar relevant field.
