Overall Responsibilities/Position Description:
Strategic:
1. Create 3-5 year strategic plans for core brands.
2. Identify new business opportunities and entry strategies for new brands in the Category.
3. Support Director Marketing to create Strategic Business Plans.
4. Identify developments across consumers, customers, media and market space and pro-actively work to catch trends early
Operational (ongoing)
1. Work with Director Marketing to create annual marketing plans.
2. Adapt / Create/ Deploy suitable advertising and below the line promotions.
3. Manage external agencies (Media / Advtg./PR/DM/Others) to maximize creative output and effectiveness of spend: ROI for every aspect of spending.
4. Use available Market Studies / Research reports effectively to gain consumer insight and develop strategies to utilise the same
5. Work and contribute effectively in cross-functional teams as required
6. Support the Sales Organization with promotional programs and tools to build Superior Customer Service.
Financial
1. Deliver top-line (revenue) targets.
2. Work within specified budgets for ATL and BTL initiatives. Continually monitor spends efficiency and
take mid-course corrections as required
3. Maximize Price-value offering to consumers while achieving profit targets.
Organization:
Support the Marketing and Sales team in being prepared for the future in terms of capability / processes / business bandwidth.
Coordination
1. Coordinate with Global Product groups and Country Management to adapt and deploy Global Strategies and Best Practices to the local market.
2. Coordinate with agencies for all programs and campaigns on ongoing basis
3. Coordinate with Sales and Trade Marketing Team to ensure ATL-BTL sync for major programs
4. Coordinate with channels / media partners on all ATL initiatives
5. Coordinate with Ops / Marketing Planner on all inventory / product-sourcing
Candidate
1. 12-15 years plus Sales and Marketing (min 4 years marketing) experience in FMCG or Durables MNC Companies
2. Currently Brand/Product Manager with ATL and BTL experience in handling campaigns and programs across India
3. Full time MBA essential.(1998-2001)
4. Cross-functional knowledge specially working knowledge of Finance and in-depth understanding of Sales desirable
5. Computer skills and interest is highly desirable.
6. Strong analytical skills.
7. Right balance of Strategic (thought leadership) and Execution skills.
8. High level of executive maturity
9. Entrepreneurial, with high growth orientation
10. Risk taker. Must be a secure individual not afraid of failure.
11. Hands on, action oriented
12. Strong oral and written communication skill
13. Able to impact the organization with ideas and plans
14. Creative, intellectually curious
15. Listening and learning skills.
16. Fun-loving and extroverted personality. Must be young at heart and have a strong “child within” personality.
