Designation : Category Manager Location : Gurugram Salary : 15 - 20 LPA Experience : 10 - 15 Years Industry Preference: Only NDC or FMCG (Packaged Food) About the Role The Category Manager supports the Management by helping define the strategy within NDC category and execute against that strategy. This is a cross-functional role that requires excellent strategic thinking, analytical skills, project management skills, relationship building skills, presentations skills, and the ability to get things done. Key Responsibilities 1. Own the Topline and Bottomline numbers of the business 2. Analyse competitor & category dynamics to inform business decisions and provide recommendations to the Management and broader leadership team, 3. Complete monthly reporting including sales and consumer data analysis and distribution gap analysis, 4. Liaise with the Sales Team for driving business & providing regional / product segment level marketing support plans 5. Manage the New product development funnel from concept development to in market launch 6. Define product segment strategies that grow the total NDC portfolio, including but not limited to identifying products to offer, their positioning, pricing, and SKUs to launch 7. Know your product P&L, and work with cross-functional partners to set product pricing, analyse and set margin targets, and understand and communicate variances on profit 8. You will be responsible for developing the communication strategy and ensure implementation at local level. Desired Candidate Details: Qualification : MBA Skills desired : 1. Demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills 2. Hands on experience in analysing and deriving insights from scan and panel data 3. Experience in working with cross-functional teams, serving as the primary communication hub for projects between R&D, Finance, Procurement and Manufacturing 4. An appreciation for real food ingredients. 5. A solid understanding of how food manufacturers/marketers go to market through retail or foodservice channels 6.
