Overview
- Leading the ideation to innovation development process for identified strategic opportunities for the brand.
- Coordination with sales, field marketing, R&D, technical team, other cross-functional team members towards successful delivery of the stated objectives for the role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Specifically focus on the innovation process (from Ideation to Launch) for fulfilling the following objectives:
Product Portfolio Competitiveness
- Coordination with Sales and Field Marketing teams to develop understanding of the right comparison benchmarks for product benchmarking exercise
- Benchmarking the product portfolio with their respective regional/ national competitors for techno-commercial comparison, by liaising with R&D and Technical team
- Formulating the action plan emerging out of the benchmarking exercise - either new proposition formulation or triggering innovation process
- End-to-end handling of product innovation process thereafter, in liaison with cross-functional team
Product Portfolio Premiumisation :
- Coordination with Sales and Field Marketing teams to develop understanding of the current usage of product portfolio
- Identification of possible usage spaces that can be commercially unlocked - either increase in usage or better solution of the usage problem - by a premium innovation to the product portfolio
- End-to-end handling of product innovation process thereafter, in liaison with cross-functional team
Product Portfolio development for unaddressed needs -
- Coordination with Sales and Field Marketing teams to develop understanding of all kinds of possible needs in
- Assessing the usages of current portfolio in those spaces towards creating a sharp innovation brief for development of product(s) for unaddressed needs
- End-to-end handling of product innovation process thereafter, in liaison with cross-functional team
Common :
- Managing Product Literature, AVs, Specification sheets etc.
- Product usage feedback from field teams
- Training internal teams on the product portfolio
- Contributing towards development of category & brand strategy
