Skills Required:
- Experience of 5-10 years in leading home and General merchandising categories at the P&L ownership level. Deep existing relationships with brands and marketplace sellers
- Strong in analytics, data-driven experimentation, and problem-solving
- Assertive with collaborative attitude & experience in managing a team of mid to senior-level people
- Knowledge of and relations with local/ regional manufacturers in multiple geographies is an added advantage
- Preferred experience of working in high-growth startups. Need to be very hands-on
- Understanding consumer behavior and their needs
- Top tier graduate/ post-graduate academic pedigree
Roles and responsibilitiesStrategy & Planning:- Define and create a long term strategy for building General merchandise vertical for Bharat ~ consumers in Tier2/3/4 towns
- Build ways to have a sharp track of consumer preferences, market and Competitors
- Planning at Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual levels keeping Org objectives on track
P&L Ownership :- Own top line, as well as the bottom line for the categories, drive revenue and Margins
- Work to optimize on Returns, RTOs, Damages, etc ~ factors beyond topline and category margins building a healthy P&L
- Manage inventory levels & cash cycle

Marketplace and Buying Planning- Own the assortment: Inventory led as well as through Marketplace
- Build local and national tie-ups with manufacturers, suppliers, and brands
- Setup inbound supply chain for the category in multiple cities set operational guidelines for handling category assortment
- Cross-functional work management with supply chain and warehousing team
Merchandising & Sell Side :- Plan and execute the merchandising on the platform with topline and bottom line in track
- Drive Launches and necessary Category Led promotions, managing the monthly Calendars
- Enable discovery and improve conversions, while working on search, navigation and merchandising
- Formulate and execution of pricing strategy based on market potential, consumer insights, margins, or competitive signals
- Collaborate with product and internally in designing and executing various products and programs to increase consumer wallet share, penetration and retention
Cross-Functional collaborations :- Lead & collaborate in the product development initiatives to build for scale
- Collaborate and Program managing Supply Chain, Packaging and Warehousing Efficiencies
- Working closely with Network & Growth team, understanding and solving from Community Leader's perspective
Team Building :- Build and groom a strong team for hyper-scale, with Organisational Ethos and Culture at the fore
- Define KPIs, set goals, and ensure team efficiency towards achieving desired outputs
