CATEGORY HEAD

We are a recruitment firm based at Noida. One of our client is currently hiring for the role of Category Manager for West Africa (Nigeria). Please find the details of the Position.

The Category Manager will be responsible for the turnover, profitability, achievement of business targets and category strategy.

- He/She will be responsible to plan for maximum stock returns, ensure product sale before expiry and be responsible for all Category Analytics to propel the Category targets.

The Category Manager will be required to:.

- Define the category (i.e. what products are included/excluded).

- Define the role of the category within the retailer.

- Assess the current performance

- Set objectives and targets for the category.

- Devise an overall Strategy.

- Devise specific tactics.

- Implement and execute the strategy aligned with overall goals of the business.

- Constantly review, monitor and/or develop as required the pricing, production planning, style analysis, merchandise mix, inventory levels & quality parameters

- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal departments to facilitate the flow of goods and related information

- Contribute/participate in the development of new products as per changing trends and market requirement.

- Prepare the plan-o-gram for all the retail stores/outlets and deciding which all merchandise categories have to be placed how and where in the retail stores.

- Taking supply requirement from the retail stores and ensuring the dispatches from the warehouse accordingly.

NOTE: MBA from a Premier Institute with 10-14 years of experience in Category management/sales and marketing.

- Proven track record of working for a FMCG organisation with clear level of career development

- Proven experience working within a highly analytical category function with exposure to sales

- Ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders alike

- A team player who can flex a strategic mindset with a hands on approach

- Determination to deliver on growth and achieve results

- Excellent planning skills

- High personal standards and goal oriented

- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Excellent and effective communications skills, both orally and in writing

- Excellent presentation skills

- Must be willing to travel
