Primary Responsibilities :
Responsibilities include :
- Model input preparation - Includes data preparation using SQL/Excel
- Analyzing the exposures - Includes geocoding, implementing modeling assumptions accurately in the modeling process, ensuring correct model and peril settings, etc.
- Generating reports - Includes using internal tools like iFM, WorkFlow Manager for creating exposure as well as loss summary reports, visualizing various statistics by creating maps using SpatialKey, ArcGIS, etc.
- Running proprietary models - Running customized peril analysis using organisation proprietary models
- Model Sensitivity Analysis - Testing change in the model output with changes in input parameters
- Analysing robustness of hazard and vulnerability modules
- Validating catastrophe model outputs utilising the latest research publications in the field
- Support the design, planning, coordination and production of relevant model sensitivity analyses for different territories (world-wide coverage)
Minimum requirements :
- Graduate/Post-Graduate in any Quantitative Discipline, preferably but not limited to, Mathematics/ Statistics, Engineering, etc.
- Experience required:
- Senior Advisor - 1 to 2 years of work experience
- Analyst - 2 to 4 years of work experience
- Senior Analyst: 5+ years
- Excellent oral and written skills in English
- High level of competence with MS Office packages (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point)
- Experience in programming in R, Python (or equivalent)
