Description - The Audit Quality & Operations Lead will play a critical role in leading and accelerating the transformation to a world-class internal audit function by 2022. This position will be the key driver in the transformation and continuous improvement of Corporate Audit's processes, tools, and training. - The individual will drive innovation and continuous quality improvement for Corporate Audit in alignment with professionally recognized standards and industry best practices. This will require proficiency in modern internal audit techniques, leveraging external relationships for knowledge sharing and staying aware of leading practices across the profession. - The individual will design end-to-end audit processes, including risk assessment, audit planning, audit project execution and audit issue management. Design of these processes will include supporting tools, templates and system functionality to further enable efficiency and quality within the audit process. Once designed, the individual will be responsible for developing, implementing and operating a sustainable training program to enable the Corporate Audit Team to deliver in a consistent and high-quality manner. Training and guidance will need to be tailored to a diverse team of auditors with many different audit and non-audit backgrounds, cultures and geographies. - The individual is responsible for developing and implementing an Audit Quality Program to monitor alignment of Corporate Audit activities to expected practices and professional standards. - This position is responsible for developing and operating a knowledge management process for Corporate Audit, transforming the information captured by Corporate Audit into an asset which will be used within and outside of Corporate Audit. - The individual is responsible for developing key communications across Corporate Audit and to select stakeholders (e.g., Audit Committee, Cargill Leadership, etc.). This includes coordinating and leading all-team meetings, Town Halls and newsletters. - The position will lead the development and monitoring of Corporate Audit's annual business plan and associated budget in close partnership with the Audit Quality & Operations Director. Principal Accountabilities 50% - Define, implement and manage Corporate Audit standards, policies and audit approach that is agile and enables the future state of Audit services : - Develop and maintain the internal audit charter, audit policy, standards and procedures - Develop and maintain the overall implementation and interpretation of Internal Audit methodology, audit policies, standards and procedures and lead efforts for consistent execution throughout the Internal Audit department - Lead Corporate Audit training and onboarding programs to enable minimum quality standards across a global audit team with diverse experiences and backgrounds - Manage Internal Audit quality assurance and continuous improvement programs to enable an evaluation of the internal audit activity's conformance with The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards and externally recognized leading practices - Analyze the Audit Quality Program results to determine and own follow-up activities, such as process improvement updates, team feedback, training, etc. - Use data and key performance indicators/scorecards to identify trends, recommend and implement changes as necessary 25% - Lead Corporate Audit Operations : - In partnership with the Quality & Operations Director, lead the Corporate Audit annual business plan and ongoing refinement and monitoring of the department's progress against goals - Identify and collect Corporate Audit metrics related to audit strategy, balanced scorecard and operational metrics to support ongoing management of the audit process - Collaborate and influence across the Audit Team to drive quality and efficient operations - Lead Corporate Audit communications related to all-team events, newsletters and key stakeholder communications (e.g., Audit Committee, Cargill Leadership Team, etc.) - Lead Corporate Audit's knowledge management activities to enable effective capture and usability of information developed by Corporate Audit, including close collaboration with Corporate Audit's Data and Analytics Team 25% - Lead and accelerate transformational change within Corporate Audit : - Develop and execute strategic workstreams related to Corporate Audit's transformation - Align transformational change activities to internationally recognized professional standards and leading practices - Inspire others through Corporate Audit organizational change management activities - Communicate decisions, priorities and relevant project information to appropriate stakeholders - Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position. - The business will not sponsor applicants for work visas in this position. Qualifications : Required Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree - 5 or more years of internal audit experience - Ability to travel globally up to 20% - Demonstrated experience with internal audit leading practices and continuous improvement - Demonstrated professional proficiency and understanding of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Standards for the - Professional Practice of Auditing, control frameworks such as COSO/CobIT and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. - Demonstrated experience developing and implementing internal audit, risk and/or compliance methodologies across large teams - Demonstrated experience developing and delivering training through a variety of techniques - Demonstrated experience developing and performing quality assurance programs (internal and/or external) for internal audit, risk and/or compliance programs. - Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, desire to learn, discover and seek opportunities for improvement. Ability and willingness to remain current on industry and IIA best practices in methodology, training and quality assurance. - Demonstrated experience in leading complex projects, transformation and organizational change; ability to envision, develop, and implement new strategies to address complex issues and innovate. - Able to deal well with ambiguity and make decisions in complex situations. - Proven ability to quickly establish credibility and influence at all levels of the organization - Ability to deliver candid feedback and manage through conflict - Demonstrated successful experiences in motivating, leading, coaching and developing others in a high-performing team - Demonstrated ability to set priorities and manage multiple and concurrent priorities - Demonstrates initiative, strong judgment, and commitment for results - Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal) Preferred Qualifications : - 7+ years of overall experience - Certified Internal Auditor or other risk management certification - Experience with ACL GRC, Alteryx, PowerBI, and Tableau - Proficiency in Mandarin, Spanish, Portuguese, or other languages
