Description : The Audit Quality & Operations Consultant will help enable Corporate Audit's transformation to a world class internal audit function by 2022. This position will be focused on the transformation and continuous improvement of Corporate Audit's processes, tools and training. The individual will work closely with the Audit Operations & Quality Lead to deliver innovation and continuous quality improvement for Corporate Audit in alignment with professionally recognized standards and industry best practices. This will require proficiency in modern internal audit techniques, leveraging external relationships for knowledge sharing and staying aware of leading practices across the profession. The individual will play a key role in the development of guidance, tools and enablers for Corporate Audit's redesigned end-to-end audit process, including risk assessment, audit planning, audit project execution and audit issue management. Development of these processes will include supporting tools, templates and system functionality to further enable efficiency and quality within the audit process. Once developed, the individual will coordinate the implementation and operation of a sustainable training program to enable the Corporate Audit Team to deliver in a consistent and high quality manner. Training and guidance will need to be tailored to a diverse team of auditors with many different audit and non-audit backgrounds, cultures and geographies. The individual will work with the Quality & Operations Lead to develop, implement and maintain an Audit Quality Program to monitor alignment of Corporate Audit activities to expected practices and professional standards. The individual will lead internal quality reviews, analyze results and determine appropriate follow-up activities, such as process improvement updates, team feedback, training, etc. The individual will need to leverage a diverse team to support quality reviews and deliver candid feedback based on quality results. This position will lead the knowledge management process for Corporate Audit, transforming the information captured by Corporate Audit into an asset which will be used within and outside of Corporate Audit. The individual will play an active part in creating key communications across Corporate Audit and to select stakeholders (e.g., Audit Committee, Cargill Leadership, etc.). This includes coordinating and preparing materials for all-team meetings, Town Halls and newsletters. Principal Accountabilities : 50% : - Corporate Audit standards, methodology, quality, and performance - Maintain the Internal Audit charter, audit policy, and standards - Maintain the Internal Audit methodology and procedures, and support efforts for consistent execution throughout the Internal Audit department - Maintain and deliver Corporate Audit training and onboarding programs to enable minimum quality standards across an audit team with diverse experiences and backgrounds - Maintain and deliver the Internal Audit quality assurance and continuous improvement programs to enable an evaluation of the internal audit activity's conformance with The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards and externally recognized leading practices - Use data and key performance indicators/scorecards to identify trends, recommend and implement changes as necessary 25% : - Corporate Audit Operations - Works with the Audit Quality and Operations Lead on the Corporate Audit annual business plan and ongoing refinement and monitoring of the department's progress against goals - Maintain the collection and availability of Corporate Audit metrics related to audit strategy, balanced scorecard and operational metrics to support ongoing management of the audit process - Collaborate and influence across teams to drive quality and efficient operations, along with leading high-performing teams to execute assigned responsibilities and projects - Prepare Corporate Audit communications related to all-team events, newsletters and key stakeholder communications (e.g., Audit Committee, Cargill Leadership Team, etc.) - Maintain Corporate Audit's knowledge management activities to enable effective capture and usability of information developed by Corporate Audit, including close collaboration with Corporate Audit's Data and Analytics Team 25% : - Transformational change within Corporate Audit - Works with other Audit leaders on strategic workstreams related to Corporate Audit's transformation - Align transformational change activities to internationally recognized professional standards and leading practices - Influence others, at all levels, through Corporate Audit organizational change management activities - Communicate decisions, priorities, and relevant project information to appropriate stakeholders Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position. Qualifications : Required Qualifications : - Bachelor's /degree - 5+ years of business experience - 3 or more years of internal audit operations - Ability to travel globally up to 20% - Demonstrated experience with internal audit leading practices and continuous improvement - Demonstrated professional proficiency and understanding of IIA Standards for the Professional Practice of Auditing, control frameworks such as COSO/CobIT and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles - Demonstrated experience developing and implementing internal audit, risk and/or compliance methodologies across large teams - Demonstrated experience developing and delivering training through a variety of techniques - Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, desire to learn, discover and seek opportunities for improvement. Ability and willingness to remain current on industry and IIA best practices in methodology, training and quality assurance - Able to deal well with ambiguity and make decisions in complex situations - Proven ability to quickly establish credibility and influence across multiple levels of the organization - Ability to deliver candid feedback and manage through conflict - Demonstrated successful experiences in coaching and leading teams - Demonstrated ability to set priorities and manage multiple and concurrent priorities - Demonstrates initiative, strong judgment and commitment for results - Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal) Preferred Qualifications : - Experience performing internal audit quality assessment (internal and external assessments) - Certified Internal Auditor or other risk management certification - Experience with ACL GRC, Alteryx, PowerBI, and Tableau - Proficiency in Mandarin, Spanish, Portuguese, or other languages
