Opportunity to work on one of the most fundamental (and complex!) problem in the used car space.

Price Index team is responsible for providing the valuation of all used cars (By Model / Variant / Age etc.) across India.

Ideal Skills :

- Basic understanding of intricacies of the used car market

- Great in analyzing and interpreting data

- Quant and mathematical skills (Preferred not compulsory)

- Passionate about cars and well versed with the Auto Industry.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Make use of exploratory and descriptive data mining techniques in order to fully characterize the nature, structure, quality, and information content of the data.

- Create predictive models based on high-complexity, high-dimensional data sets

- Design and develop statistical models that will include

- Research on innovative algorithms/methods

- Define Objective function and build hypothesis

- Identify, Prioritize and Transform variables for model building

- Build, validate, and Refine model output based on use cases and scenarios

- Work with the technology team to deploy models in production environment

Qualification:

- Graduate/Post-graduate in Data Science/Engineering from Tier 1/2 colleges, with experience in statistical modeling and Machine Learning

- Candidates who have a background in statistical computing and machine learning will only be favoured.

Must have:

- Hands on experience in developing and implementing methods in predictive analytics & computational statistics is required

- Proven experience in advanced statistical algorithms - Multivariate Regression, Random Forest etc.

- Hands on experience in Big Data/ Hadoop/ Machine Learning, Random Forest, Decision Tree, SVM etc.

- Statistical computing in R, Python,SAS - strong experience in at least one; Familiarity with SQL and query performance optimization is a Plus.

Good to have:

- Experience in Internet companies

- Proficiency in data handling - ETL, SQL and NoSQL Databases

- Good communication and documentation skill
