Job Description:

Purpose and Key Objectives of the Job:

- Serve as an Analyst for different functions within the organization.

- Responsible for project financials and internal controls across functional areas.

Responsibilities:

- Administer capital expenditure contracts, including project creation and closure for approximately 60 global manufacturing sites.

- Collaborate closely with the Controller to develop project business cases and investment requests, and monitor financial performance.

- Establish standardized project management processes, identify synergies, and drive improvements across functions.

- Generate reports to provide insights into project spending, supporting the planning and control process for CAPEX and time tracking.

- Communicate project actuals versus budget to Project Managers and take corrective actions when necessary.

- Update CAPEX forecasts in SAP and analyze deviations between actuals and forecasts.

- Create and maintain project structures and time tracking in SAP PS (WBS elements) following corporate guidelines.

- Ensure accurate project financial closing, asset activation, documentation, and appropriate accounting classification (CAPEX-One off) in SAP.

- Settle WBS elements and record cost/CAPEX accruals during month-end closing.

- Provide input to the Functional Controller for annual project budget determination.

- Collaborate with the tax team on fiscal matters related to projects and charge-outs to respective businesses or functions.

- Monitor budget versus actual CAPEX bookings per AR (Asset Request) and report budget overruns, updating monthly and yearly CAPEX forecasts.

- Ensure data quality in capital projects through standardized and consistent use of SAP and other systems.

Job Requirements:

- Ability to work independently, with an analytical and fact-based approach.

- Chartered Accountant/Cost & Management Accountant/MBA (Finance) from a reputable B-School with relevant experience.

- 5 to 8 years of experience in financial analysis or project controlling functions.

- Prior experience in the chemical manufacturing industry within a global multinational organization.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Business Warehouse, PowerBi, SAP Analytical Cloud).

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

- Flexibility and comfort in a demanding environment within an international context.

- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to generate enthusiasm, drive change, and apply analytical thinking.
