Senior Manager &amp; Practice Lead The Senior Manager &amp; Practice Lead, a highly experienced aviation consulting and research professional, will act as the functional head of his/her team and take full ownership for their deliverables, as well as their development and management. The individual should be able to handle the following responsibilities, which include but are not limited to: Project Management : 1. Effectively manage multiple, complex/large consulting projects and thought leadership papers, including scoping, planning &amp; management, quality control, and project delivery. &nbsp;2. Such projects could be related to business strategy; industry landscape; demand assessment; market entry and expansion strategies; due diligence; policy and regulatory issues, including offsets; partner searches; competitor analysis; supply chain issues; financial analysis etc.&nbsp; &nbsp;3. Generate new leads for business development, with specific responsibility for selected markets in South Asia, prepare client proposals and respond to tenders.&nbsp; 4. Actively participate in the execution of projects with hands-on responsibility for preparing and creating deliverables, in addition to managing and guiding the work of team members.&nbsp; &nbsp;5. Possess strong aviation sector knowledge to be able to contribute domain expertise as well as effectively review deliverables and ensure the accuracy and value to the client of insights and data presented.&nbsp; 6. Support the team with analysis and synthesis of research data and train them on effective consulting and research methodologies.&nbsp; 7. Be responsible for smooth project operations, end-to-end project management and planning, to ensure timely delivery and high quality, with a differentiated and solutions-focused approach that delivers value to clients. &nbsp;8. Ensure project budgets - including resource bandwidth and travel/incidental costs - are adhered to, and flag any potential issues on a timely basis, while proposing possible solutions.&nbsp; 9. Provide clear reporting to the Management Committee on project delivery, client feedback, team productivity and business development activities.&nbsp; Team/People Management: 1. Lead the delivery team and be the point of contact for external clients as well as internal senior management/stakeholders.&nbsp; 2. Ensure that the team is motivated with a strong sense of purpose and cohesiveness, and that strong resources are retained.&nbsp; &nbsp;3. Encourage and push the team to adopt out-of-the-box and innovative thinking.&nbsp; 4. Escalate issues of concern to the management on a timely basis. Maintain regular communication with all team members.&nbsp; 5. Share key learnings/insights with peers/juniors/superiors. 6. Ensure that resources are suitably and equitably utilised with appropriate productivity levels - both in line with company policies and objectives.&nbsp; 7. Identify the training needs of all team members. Prepare and monitor individual training and development plans in consultation with HR. &nbsp;8. Participate in the hiring of new resources for the team when required.&nbsp; 9. Conduct quarterly and annual appraisals for team members and provide regular feedback. Client Management: 1. Manage client engagements independently.&nbsp; &nbsp;2. Ensure that client expectations are met and even exceeded in terms of quality and timeliness of deliverables, and the value of insights and solutions provided.&nbsp; 3. Build positive, productive and lasting client relationships at all levels. Other Responsibilities: 1. Ensure adherence to company policies, and values, and contribute to creating a positive, professional and motivating work environment. Qualification: - Minimum Post-graduation (MBA, PGDBM), preferably from a leading B-school Required Experience &amp; Skills: - Candidates must have 15 years- experience in aviation strategy/planning or at a specialist aviation consulting /research company and have a self-starter attitude.&nbsp; &nbsp;- Proven strategic thinking, analytical and data skills.&nbsp; - Experience in project management, and organizational skills, with the ability to implement appropriate workflow and business processes in the team.&nbsp; &nbsp;- Ability to handle multiple projects in a multi-tasking environment; know how to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines.&nbsp; - Ability to draw critical insights from analysis and data and to present these clearly to the client in a manner that delivers value.&nbsp; &nbsp;- Be a strong team player with empathy, humility and dedication to the success of the team and the company.&nbsp; &nbsp;- Strong verbal and written communication skills.&nbsp; - Advanced level proficiency in MS Office (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
