Senior Role in Industrial Relations (IR)
Role Overview/ Job Purpose:
- Oversees the design, implementation and maintenance of organizations labor relations program and policies. Represent the organization in labor-management relations, including contract negotiations and arbitration cases and establish policies for reporting and addressing grievances.
Key Responsibilities:- Devising HR policies & Implementing best HR Practices and tools for meeting existing and future business needs;
- Drive clear IR Strategy with a strong Corporate Governance, Statutory Compliances and Ethics oriented approach across the organization
- Based on work force planning & organizations needs, ensure cost effective sourcing & screening best available talent thought Employee Referrals, Job portals, Placement consultants, Contractors , campus hiring etc.
- Identify training needs, Preparation of training modules, calendar, schedules and batches for imparting training. Budgeting for training & measurement of its effectiveness.
- Design & execute effective employee engagement initiatives ; Improve Involvement & results on various activities like Kaizens, Quality Circle, 5S drives, TPM as well as various events & Celebrations to keep employee engaged & productive
- Devise & restructure compensation package in accordance with the Compensation Strategies and in alignment of applicable labour laws/statutes and overall management of salary & wages within the organisation while ensuring pay parity w.r.t Job Roles & Job pricing.
- Define and implement clear IR strategy to ensure Industrial Peace and Zero manhour loss due to of any IR issues, Set up communication channels & a strong Grievance Redressal Mechanism to proactively avert any probable IR issues; At the same time, keep a strong & effective strong IR set up to handle any adverse IR Scenario in the organization.
- Responsible for various acts/statutes & ensure 100% statutory compliances in line with organizational applicability eg. PF, ESI, Dept of Labour & Employment, Chief Inspector of Factories, Pollution control board, Chief Controller of Explosives, Fire, Employment Exchange, Weights & Measurements, local police & district administration etc.;
- Ensure smooth operations of Plant Administration & facilities like Security, Canteen, Transport facilities, Office Equipment, printing & stationary, courier, postage, IT, phones, for operational readiness and initiating cost effectiveness towards all above including electricity, water, insurance etc
Desired Skills:- Extensive experience in labor relations, collective bargaining, and conflict resolution, with a minimum of 5-10yrs in a managerial role.
- Strong experience in dealing with unions, labor laws and regulations.
- Strong knowledge of policies and procedures.
- In-depth knowledge of Employment legislation.
- Proven ability to maintain composure in high pressure situations and resolve conflicts effectively.
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity
- Sound judgement and ability to analyze situations and information.
- Outstanding communication skills
Qualification: MBA (HR or IR), Masters in Social Work or PGDM (IR)Working Days: Monday to Saturday (2 Saturday off)Location: Gurgaon and Delhi (Peeragarhi)
