Role :

A loan documentation contract specialist will be responsible for every phase of contract development from researching to negotiating the terms and preparing the final document. Ideal contract specialists should enjoy drafting and editing contracts, demonstrating excellent attention to detail abilities. In addition to being an excellent communicator, you should possess the ability to review and interpret wholesale lending agreements, many of which are complex syndicated deals (LSTA or LMA, APLMA etc.) , leveraged deals, ABL, REF and general corporate lending and investment grade facilities including less complex deals, like the client's bilateral and uncommitted facilities

Key Accountabilities :

- Experience in debt project finance, external commercial borrowings and specialized in reviewing and interpreting facility and credit agreements and ancillary documentation.

- Reviewing lending portfolio at a global level. Inspect lending documentation that include complex loan agreements and technical details (loan ranging from leverage finance, some investment grade and syndicated loan but with substantial number of parties, some bilateral)

- Ability to interpret and data capture from a number of the client's operational systems, as well as regulatory reporting and on-going transaction management purposes. The records need to be updated continually during the life of each deal - e.g. to reflect amendments and waivers, refinancing, IBOR transition-related moves to RFRs, obligor accessions/resignations and compliance with covenants.

- Ability to review and interpret wholesale lending agreements, many of which are complex syndicated deals (LSTA or LMA, APLMA and other). Leveraged deals, ABL, REF and general corporate lending and investment grade facilities including less complex deals, like the client's bilateral and uncommitted facilities.

- The work involves liaisoning with internal stakeholder of the bank that come into contacts of documentation team

- Analyzed credit authorizations for consumer and commercial loans for data entry into the loan processing program.

Qualifications :

- 3 to 8 years of legal contracting experience

- Possess a bachelor's or master's degree in law

- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role

- A seasoned financing lawyer having experience in debt project finance, external commercial borrowings and specialized in reviewing and interpreting facility and credit agreements and ancillary documentation

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, agreements, contract documents, and legal specifications.

- Outstanding negotiation and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to resolve client complaints and concerns.

- Willingness to work virtually or in an office setting

- Good organisation skills and the ability to multitask on several projects simultaneously

- Knowledge of negotiation best practices, both in-person and in written form, that considers cultural norms and the client's best interests
